Wake Forrest @ Iowa marks the first game of the Big 10/ACC challenge. The ACC wins this challenge every year, but this year, the Big 10 has a decent shot IMO. However, for the Big 10 to have a shot, they need teams like Iowa to knock off Wake Forrest. Neither team appears much on paper as Wake Forrest is predicted last in the ACC while Iowa is picked 10th out of 11 in the Big 10. IOWA stands for Idiots Out Wondering Around and watching this team play hoops will remind you of a bunch of idiots.

The Demon Deacons are playing their first road game and traveling a good distance to Iowa City. The Hawkeyes severly lack talent, but the home crowd could be enough to allow them to prevail IMO.

Iowa ML +115 for 5*

Also, taking Appalachian State +6 for 3* - I guess everyone thinks Davidson is awesome because they barely lost to North Carolina. They're also due for a win since they just lost @ Western Michigan... Not so fast as getting 6 points in this matchup has solid value.

Also, I think alot of the reason they were upset by WMichigan is because they were in serious foul trouble. Curry, Sader, Meno all fouled out.

Oh, and they shot 9-31 from the 3pt line.

Iowa will play(or wants to, anyway) a slow-down, in your shorts type of defense. Prior to the two games in Texas, Iowa had not allowed their 1st 3 opponents to score more than 50 pts--thus the low total of 129 pts in tonight's game.
Regardless of this being Wake's 1st road game, I like them to win the game and I see both teams struggling to score 60 points, so I'll be on the under as well. Good luck!

forgot to add that this is Iowa's 5th game in 7 days and they only have 10 players that suit up for games with Tony Freeman, their best guard, hurt right now.

Not feeling real confident on Iowa, but they're at home and Wake Forrest is still playing their first road game.

Adding Temple +6 (-120) for 3* as well. Akron appears to be in rebuilding mode while Temple is far more battle tested and has the better team IMO.

I live close to Akron.

Akron has lost ALOT. They lose I think 5 seniors, and only return 2 starters. They're definately in rebuilding mode. Not sure about Temple though, don't know much on them...

Just did a lil more reasearch on Akron/Temple

Akron is 9total points away from being 1-4.
Temple is 5combined points away from being 4-1.

Don't expect EITHER team to score 80 points tonight. 75 points tops would be my range.
