It's very hard to get a read on this game with the spread. Saints should get a win but the 49ers could cover for sure, and a San Fran win is not out of the question. A bounce or lucky play here or there could make the difference.
Here is what I am going to do, for what it is worth. A 10-point teaser that sets up right:
NO Saints +5
NE Patriots -3
Minny Vikes -?
I'm confident in the last two games, that the Pats can beat the wretched Bills by more than a FG in their home opener in New England and after blowing it with the Jets OTR on Sunday.
I'm also happy with taking the Vikings to beat the pathetic Lions straight up at home to not start the season 0-3. Favre should be getting into a rhythm and this is must must win for them.
So...this gives me (as far as I am concerned) a "free shot" at taking the Saints on MNF with 5 points.
And yes, nothing is really free, and teasers can tease down your bankroll unless you have a couple or three games and situations that set up just right to put the spreads overwhelmingly in your favor.
The game that most concerns me of these three is the game tonight, since it is MNF. But hey, I need some action to go with my beers and Cuban mojitos tonigiht, so it's just a regular bet that I'm comfortable with.
