Love this Mav team....although Minny beat Laf by 12 the other day...Mavs are dangerous...they lost Hervey the best player in the Sun conf lyr at mid-year..he is a double-double every nite...they return all their starters and won 24 games lyr...Jones is another scorer...and last year in non conf they beat Ohio St and Memphis by 5 pts..they lost at Texas in OT....think they can beat Minny outright .....

URI -22 over Marist ***
Not sure why the AD at Marist who I know personally scheduled Duke and URI to open up against..on the road... Foxes were blown out by Duke..like I said before they have no inside players...they moved 6'8 Brooks who is really not a post player inside..only because of his size...Sjoberg is 6'9 and can't rebound or score...they have two solid gds in Hart and Parker..Parker is a 6'2 hefty lefty kid who only scored 5 pts vs Duke...and he is the Foxes top rebounder coming back from last year..Hart is good but URI is loaded....Mathews could be the best player they see the rest of the year...Martin is a scorer,shot blocker and inside-outside player...Iverson and Akele are 6'9...they press and fast break...they beat Dartmouth who is about equal to Marist 85-61...not sure how Foxes play defense vs URI...URI had 11 block shots in that game and the Green had a bigger front line...think URI can name its score...win by 25-30....

Hope URI covers for you but I have notice a trend over the last several years. Teams like Marist that get blown out versus Duke tend to play well & often cover in next game.
Let's see if that happens. I would say they at least cover in first half.

Again think this is trouble for the Foxes...Hurley has his kids playing pressure defense the entire game...one of his quotes is "lock up your opposition and you will play"...so this team has depth and will contest everything from the dribble to the shot...they might not get 20 to's like the other nite because Hart and Parker can handle the ball but they will tired by the 2nd half...Martin is an impact player...scoring inside because I cannot see any post defense,.. Foxes will have to play their 2-3 defense...but URI has shooters even some guys off the bench can hit the 3....this is a bad matchup game...shooters will spread the defense out..and then there is Mathews the best player on the court...this is a top 20 team...Foxes could lose by more then the other nite to Duke...

Lowell,your probably right...but when you have seen Marist in the 2nd row about 4 or 5 times last year so close and upfront and they didn't add anybody I can't see them hanging in with URI..then you thrown in Hurley and his style of play...he has depth beside talent and attacks you....Foxes have 2 ball players in Hart and Parker...and both are gds....if they are depending on Brooks to play the front line vs Martin and co it will be a long nite..maybe with a big lead Hurley starts to sub and Foxes get a backdoor cover...but to me that is the only way...good luck with your Kansas tomr..
