When WA lost at Detroit in their only meeting last season, WA at that point (Feb 24) was 2-15-1 vs teams with more points in standings than them. Teams are playing similar this season.

Colo has dominated this matchup of late, and coming off a shutout loss at home.

Burke is 1-1-1 with 3.97 gga in last three starts. Turco has improved well of late, and you'd think Dallas would bear down and not have the mental and defensive lapses of last few games...and Modano needs to get it going!


Buff played fine and tough in loss Sat vs TB after big win and quickly getting on long flight (fri nite home games start hour later).
They got a day off to relax on beach and should be primed. FL off a win (like Buff have problems getting two wins in row) and starting with a poor home record again this season. Buff playing very well this season in next game after poor offensive effort.

You can add Smolinski out for the Sens 7-10 days with a separated shoulder. Havlat missed both games on the weekend with a pulled hamstring and will not play tomorrow night. Sens sent down Vermette and recalled Josh Langfeld. Vermette has been solid for the Sens, I think this was done to see how Langfeld has progressed and they will leave him in the line-up for the next 3 games and possibly use him in a trade with a big name player.
