YTD: (7-10) = -2 units

Cardinals +103 (1 unit): Can't pass on St. Louis as a home dog. The Cardinals have won 15 of their last 18 games overall. St. Louis clinched the Central on Friday, and the Cardinals should play loose the rest of the season. Arizona isn't playing good baseball right now. The D-Backs are 5-5 in their last 10 games, and they are coming off three straight losses to the Rockies. Arizona's lead in the West is down to 4.5 games over the Giants. There will be a little more pressure on Arizona to get the win tonight. The D-Backs took two of three earlier in the season against St. Louis. The Cardinals know they could face Arizona in the post-season. Tony LaRussa will make sure that his guys do all they can to make a statement in this series.

Good luck tonight!

Just kind o wondering why you think that the Cards will make a statement tonight this game means absolutely nothing to them while Arizona has the Giants breathing down their necks and I sure wouldn't want my money riding on Jamey Wright he is just plain horrible and is coming off of a very poor start. Arizona has allot to lose if they don't start winning the Cards have nothing to worry about except keeping players healthy and rested for the playoffs. Sorry but have to disagree with you but respect your opinion and surely wish you no bad luck!

Irish,

I agree with you about Wright. He definitely concerns me a little bit. However, the Cardinals are the hottest team in baseball right now, having won 15 of their last 18 games. I do believe that the Cardinals will look to make a statement in this series. It is very likely that these two teams will meet in the playoffs. You never want another team to feel confident when they play you. You're a good capper, so I don't need to tell you that the team which needs the game more, doesn't always mean that they will win. If anything, St. Louis will play loose tonight and Arizona will play a little tight. You're not the only one who disagrees with me on this play. It appears that all the money in Vegas is also going on Arizona. The line is now up to Arizona -120. I will wait before I put this play in, because I expect the line to go up even further in my favor. Good luck if you decide to play Arizona tonight!
