Here are my plays:
Pitt -137 for 3* (listed pitchers) Dodgers will be tired after playing a DH yesterday and then playing early game today.
I really like Duke as well and expect the Pirates to play with a lot more energy than the Dodgers today. Pirates finally got their first win yesterday and face Perez who got shelled in his first start. Huge price for the Pirates, but I'll bite.
Houston -116 for 3* - Patterson apparently has tightness in his throwing arm, but he's going to pitch anyway. I can't stand Rodriguez, but at this price, I like the Astros. Patterson got shelled by the Mets and if he's hurting, it could be another shelling by the Disastros.
Detroit -123 - Public backing the White Sox @ 62% at Covers. Garcia looked terrible against the Tribe last week while Bonderman was nearly unhittable in his first start. Tigers will have a loud and rowdy crowd which makes this play more appealing. White Sox are lucky Buehrle threw a gem yesterday or the Royals would have swept them. :scared
Very rare for me to play 3 favorites, but I couldn't find a good reason to back the Underdogs in these early games. Hopefully they go at least 2-1 to start the day.
No opinion yet on St. Louis, but leaning towards Milwaukee. I'm just not very impressed with Mulder these days plus Ohka is at least a serviceable pitcher. This line should go much higher before the game starts.
