Here are my plays:
Pitt -137 for 3* (listed pitchers) Dodgers will be tired after playing a DH yesterday and then playing early game today.
I really like Duke as well and expect the Pirates to play with a lot more energy than the Dodgers today. Pirates finally got their first win yesterday and face Perez who got shelled in his first start. Huge price for the Pirates, but I'll bite.

Houston -116 for 3* - Patterson apparently has tightness in his throwing arm, but he's going to pitch anyway. I can't stand Rodriguez, but at this price, I like the Astros. Patterson got shelled by the Mets and if he's hurting, it could be another shelling by the Disastros.

Detroit -123 - Public backing the White Sox @ 62% at Covers. Garcia looked terrible against the Tribe last week while Bonderman was nearly unhittable in his first start. Tigers will have a loud and rowdy crowd which makes this play more appealing. White Sox are lucky Buehrle threw a gem yesterday or the Royals would have swept them. :scared

Very rare for me to play 3 favorites, but I couldn't find a good reason to back the Underdogs in these early games. Hopefully they go at least 2-1 to start the day.

No opinion yet on St. Louis, but leaning towards Milwaukee. I'm just not very impressed with Mulder these days plus Ohka is at least a serviceable pitcher. This line should go much higher before the game starts.

Love your picks DD. I was debating on the houston/nationals game and had to go with Nationals. Nationals seem to got their hitting together and Soriano is on fire.

wandy is puke, and if patterson is hurting he will be out early anyway, maybe even before the stros can get to him. and remember just two days ago, they got to mr. oswalt, and wandy is NO oswalt.

but in no way is this a hammer game either way. small play for sure in whatever you choose.

just my thoughts, i like your other two. mulder SHOULD get the win, but again, that would be a small play or no play, based on the high ml.

Adding Milwaukee +155 for 3*. Price is too high when the Cardinals spirits are probably down after getting swept plus traveling a day game after a night game is always tough. Brewers have enjoyed solid pitching and I"m hoping Ohka makes it continue.

Upgrading Milwaukee to 4* to win 6.3*. Public is pounding Cardinals so I'm going the other way.

I also need to focus on more dogs. Favorites seem to chew up my bankroll at an alarming rate.

Mental Note, Never ever ever lay wood with the Pirates!

Stupid f*cking play!

Pirates have killed me all week long. I play them 4 times and lost all 4 times. The one time I play against them, they win. So might have to lay away from games involving Pirates. What a clueless team.

Hard to see STL losing 4 straight.

What sucks is the Pirates looked improved. They added Burnitz, Casey, Castillo, and Randa to their lineup, but they have been the worst team in baseball so far this season. I wouldn't give up on Pittsburgh, but I probably won't play the Pirates as chalk again this year.

Adding those guys to your team I can't really say would be a improvement to a team, but to the Pirates it's a major improvement since they only had Bay last year.

Night Plays (Probably good fades as both Mondays I have been awful):

Braves +100 for 2.5*... I know Giles and Chipper aren't playing, but Phillies should be a little tired after playing DH yesterday (going to try this angle again).

Tampa Bay +126 for 3*... Home opener for D-Rays and I see them getting a win despite numerous injuries.

Texas +132 for 2.5*... Rangers haven't been able to play in Arlington so maybe they can play on the road.
