Although I'm a huge Yankees fan, its nice to see the Pirates in first place and kicking ass. Lets hope they don't fade in the second half like they have the last couple of years. I don't see that happening this year. I think they have finally matured and gelled as a team.

This is a good team but they are going to need to add depth and someone who can make contact with runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs or they are going to miss the Wild Card I'm afraid!! Reds too good and too deep not to make a trade, Cards are deep as well and will get Carp back and they'll probably pick up a seasoned vet, that's leaves one other wild card spot open and that may go to someone in the NL Least, Nats suck, Phillies diddling around, Braves look good, especially at home, NL Worst is a tossup salad.

Clint and the FO in Pittsboygh need to turn it up a notch!!

Hope they can do it!!

I grew up rooting for them with Clemente and was a big Phillies fan with Lefty Carlton there, since then, lost passion for both teams, but still closet root for them when they are on the tube.

last two years I wanted a trade....badly.


this year, I am totally fine with what we have.

of course I would love to add a Stanton or hell even a Soriano but gabby sanchez/snider/mckhenry/inge/tabata/presley all good guys to rotate in depending who we have up.....if we add a bat, that would of course improve us though..



our staff is absolutely deep enough.


locke is our #5 guy....and he is killing it....



yes, another stick would be awesome, but I don't think not getting it keeps them from making the playoffs....it could and most likely will keep them from winning it, but not from getting there....this team has a perfect combination of talents....alvarez finally figuring out how to play at this level.....gabby and garret both good thus far with RISP.....we have won every type of game we have had too....extra innings, 2-1, 10-9....this team is ready to make a run I believe....


bullpen is insane.....staff is lights out....#3 and #1 in the league...
