Hawkeye...

Hawkeye...

Just some random thoughts:

1) Tourney time has more timeouts. You have the TV Under 16, 12, 8, and 4 timeouts. Then you have various other stoppages. IT really takes some rhythm out of the games- Maybe hurting totals.

2) With more timeouts you have more in bound plays being run and thus you are getting more points off the in bound plays maybe hurting 1st half totals.

3) Tourney time there is more value on possession thus teams are running more sets. You see more plays being called and you see more emphasis on each play.

I just have been thinking about it as you talk about your totals being off by 10+ points and I wanted to think about it in terms of the games.

I have not run

I have not run

I have never back tested 1st 5... So, I will defer. I like the logic though. Its basically putting emphasis on the play until the first TV timeout.

I have never been so confused by totals as I am by the ladies games... I am fascinated that teams can have combined 160 possessions and only score 120-130 points. In the Mens game if there are 150 possesssion it wasan up and down game and most likely high scoring. I am extremely fascinated by this.

The Lady Wildcats in their 1st game vs Wright State had 67 Rebounds.... 67 phucking RB's in 1 game.... Holy cow.

I wish the men's game would go to a 30 second shot clock. I really do.
