a tidy profit for us in the process. Paul Wilson has been
one of the NL's most reliable breadwinners the past two
seasons (+$540 so far in '04) and the Reds would be 5-0
in his five starts had they not blown a 9-0 vs. the Brewers
last Wednesday. And despite the tough weekend, the
Reds are still 11-8 (+$630) vs. righthanders with 5.1 runs
per game while the Astros have lost money in night games
at home (-$510). Roy Oswalt is a quality opponent, but
lack of run support has made him unprofitable (-$420)
and we continue to be baffled by the excessive prices on
Houston this year.
