GW under 39.5 team total 2nd half. . . just can't see them matching Wake in the 2nd half and score over 80 points in this one against the Deacons.

Yeah Clem, I was a little scared but NAU has a history of playing well one half and the next looking horrible. Lucky for us it happened again

Already been discussed but adding Illinois St. +10 over Marquette. . . should be a low scoring game IMO with 10 being huge.

Creighton under 67.5 2nd half. . . both teams have to average 34 to beat me and Creighton had only 39 the first half. Think its a strong bet but I'm just going small on this one

Marquette under 69.5 second half. Once again, a blowout game and Marquette scored only 38 the first half and we would need both teams to average 35 in the second half to take the money away. I'll play these all year long :)

Yeah Mach. . . love the games where I don't have to worry. . . Creighton was much closer but still came in. No mistake about it, I make most of my profit each year on system plays and halftime bets.

Johnny, it just feels a little high for this Wildcat team. They will be just as explosive as ever, but I haven't had a chance to see Fox play because he could be a huge key this year up front with Frye. In my opinion, the first half bet (taking the points with SD) is the way to go and here's why:

U of A has problems playing down to their competition early in games until Lute Olson kicks them in gear at the half. It happened several times last year and I witnessed it in the first half of their last exhibition game.

Lute knows U of A will win this game. . . he is not stupid and he has not had a chance to see how everyone plays with each other against competition yet because several sat out the exhibition games. I think he plays around the first half to see what will work and then go with the best lineup during the second half. Meaning that Shakur (the starting point guard) may see more minutes the second half as Lute tries to determine the best point guard to give Shakur breaks when he needs them. Lute will have no trouble pulling the starting lineup early and switching things up as he has done that in previous years with teams that he is confident in. We all know given his comments that he is very confident this year with this team.

Can you tell me the total that has been released? Olympic doesn't post lines until the morning and it ticks me off!

Thanks Rex. . . best of luck to you too. . . total looks about right to me. . . it will be interesting to see if Lute goes with a full court or 3/4 court defense for most of the game as he said he is considering. It wasn't extremely successful in the exhibition games but kept the game moving.

FYI it looks like Fox will stay out of Monday's game. . . can't believe Lute still has him out but how can you second guess him? I don't think it really changes anything at all because you still have so many combinations that Lute will try to see what will work best and there's no doubt in my mind he will begin to try things early in this game.

san diego lost to d2 cal poly pomona @ home... they had 24 turnovers. last year they won 4 games because of same reasons. if lute is going to press tomorrow, this game will over when they take off their warmups!
