First time in 6 years 2 one sees play in the finals. Only third time since seeded them, and I believe the only time that it has been 1 v 2 during that span. Thus, rare for the best teams to advance but CBS sure must be happy.

Illinois has been the best team all year. Carolina with the most talent and potential.

If I forget who is on the sidelines I would take the team getting points. Factor in Roy and it's no choice. He may finally have the talent to overcome himself and get one, and if he does they can take my money.

Like Illinois too. They play more of a team game. matchup reminds me a bit of Syracuse/Kansas a few years back for some reason.

nba draft picks my friend.....nba draft picks....in the final 4 ALWAYS take the team who has the best NBA players, playing vs college kids.....

roger powell
nick smith
james augustine
vs
sean may
marvin williams

YIKES....mismatch

throw in felton/mccants vs williams-head-brown (i'd be willing to bet unc has the better nba players there as well)

nova 85 - gtwn

nc st 83- HOU

Indy 87 - cuse

nc 93 - mich

[Those are off top of my head]

Not so fast, my friend, the former won those finals vs teams with glitzy #1 picks etc ... the best team will win, not athletes ...

NC finally played well vs good team, let's not jump ship on a team that only lost once ...

when NC took shot before half with 12 secs left and shoulda run clock out that showed me they are not a thinking team and it might bite them in ass if/when it comes down to white knuckler ..

should be a great game

Trust me fellas with my money on the line it would be with illini there is not much that points toward the other side. But with that said it is very hard to bet against this carolina team, not much you can say really, they either show up or they don't but I feel like it's their year.

those games were moons ago..in this day and age where the absolute best are already in the nba when they are 19 years old...the theory of taking the highest nba draftable players has proven successful

unc over ill (felton, may, mccants, williams over williams and maybe head...dee brown will NOT be a good nba player, he's an nba midget)

uconn over gt (okafor/gordon over nobody yet)

cuse over kansas (melo over heinrich/collison)

md over indiana (baxter, dixon over nobody ever)

duke over arizona (battier, dunleavy, williams, duhon, boozer over jefferson, arenas, walton, woods, wright).....best ncaa title game-future nba matchup this decade

take carolina and the small number and hope roy is home sick at tipoff

Head will be a better pro than Mccants. Mccants has zero heart. Semi-final game and he couldn't even be persuaded to bend over to pick up a loose ball. All three Willliam's (Deron, Jawaad, Marvin) will also be better pros, IMO.

Did you guys see the interview SI did w/ cleaves and stackhouse??

Stackhouse said on unc McCants was the best pro prospect I was really surprised. I would have thought for sure it would have been marvin or sean.

im trying to think of who the most overrated player on north carolina's squad is.

jawad williams
or marvin williams

theyre making marvin williams out to be the #1 pick in the draft if he comes out after this season and i dont see it at all. when magette came off the bench for duke when he was a frosh, i could tell he was gonna be a big time player. but this marvin williams hype is way too much for me. wasnt even the best freshman in the country and hes the #1 pick? hmm.

while i dont think hes a great 'team guy', i dont see how mccants isnt the best player on the floor tonight, as well as the best pro prospect. felton is a close 2nd. but when mccants comes to play, its tough to find a better player.

best of luck to all you guys playin the side in this one. would be illini or pass for me. but ill pass. over for me. thanks for the contributions this year sun.

I think Deron Williams is the best all-around pro prospect and player on the court tonight. Would shock me if someone like McCants had a better pro career than Williams does.
