Sac st. rebounding leader Veteto is listed as questionable so the Hornets may need to find a way to win without him. The Hornets will need to find a way to slow down NAU?s tandem guard attack of Gabe Rogers and Dewayne Russell; otherwise those two could very well put on a clinic and leave The Nest with a win.
The Hornets fell to the Lumberjacks 57-50 on January 3rd and are 1-8 against them over the last four years.
Northern Arizona is in 7th place in the Big Sky and will be trying to close the gap with Sacramento State, who is currently in 6th place.
In their last match-up on January 31st, Dylan Garrity put up 18 points for the Hornets in a loss to Southern Utah, 79-67. He is averaging 12.3 points per game while also contributing a team-high 5.1 assists per game. For the Lumberjacks, Stallon Saldivar finished with 7 points and 12 rebounds in the 78-67 loss to Southern Utah on February 2nd. He is averaging 5.9 points per game and leads the team in assists with 4.2 per game.
