giants (ML) 2 units to win 3.8. so much talk the entire preseason about how the giants can't score. and now they're running into the high-scoring detroit lions. my god, this game has "rout" written all over it. even giants fans don't have high expectations for this season or this game. and, as we all know, giants fans are always wrong. so clearly the giants are going to somehow, some way, pull a win out of their ass tonight. maybe scott Mitchell is coming back to play QB for the lions tonight. or maybe Stafford is going to play like Mitchell (wouldn't be the first time). I can offer no rational explanation, other than the lions can certainly find a way to snatch certain defeat from the jaws of victory.

I really want to play the over, too, but it feels almost too easy.

yeah, for the entire preseason I was certain I was going to play the giants over in their first game. then I saw they were playing the lions, so the whole world might still be on the over. hell, a guy at work told me he wanted to play the lions over the total in every game this year. shortly thereafter, he told me he seriously wanted to play every single game over in the nfl this year. I told him that was a great way to lose a lot of money. oh, yeah, he was predicting that 67% of the games would go over the total. for the entire league.

I'd love to be his bookie.
