i play very few primetime nfl games, but when i saw nick mullens was starting 11 days ago, i jumped on the niners. teams always seem to step up for the backup making his first start. and it doesn't hurt that it was against the raiders. but most of the time, when that backup makes his second start, we're reminded just why he's the backup. so here we are tonight. nick mullens doesn't get to play the raiders again. sure, the giants suck. but they are not raiders-bad.
on defense, the giants' weakness is stopping the run. they give up 122 yards/game. however, breida and morris the last 3 games have combined for 167 yards on 55 carries. that ain't good, especially considering two of those games were against oakland and arizona. mullens is going to have to throw the ball tonight, and don't forget... he's nick mullens.
ny giants (+3) 5 units.
ny giants (ML) 2 units to win 3.
the real question tonight... how little of this crapfest can i watch? over/under is 10 minutes. and i'm really hoping for the under.
