Good luck, Chenker. I'll be there and rooting for you and my Caps. Both teams have been red hot of late. I just hope the Caps don't get into the habit of playing run and gun tonight just cuz they could vs. FLA.

SJ- good to hear from you-

here are some of my reasons for this play-

Washington has been very good at home this year 12-5-1-1

Washington has owned the Isles over their last 10 going 7-1-2

Looking at both teams over their last 5 games Washington has the edge on the power play, penalty kill, and a big edge in goals against-

Isbister is also questionable for the Isles-

No such thing as a sure thing but this one looks like a strong play and the price is right-

good luck-

I can't disagree with you on any point. The Islanders are 1-21-3 in their last 25 meetings with the Capitals. The Isles have not won in Washington since March 2, 1997. I would love to see Jagr and Bondra have another big night, but I think the Isles will try to make this a tight checking game.

From the Isles site: The Islanders make their first stop of their four-game road trip tonight at the MCI Center in Washington, DC to take on the red-hot Capitals. Although their opponents netted twelve goals on Saturday night, Peter Laviolette is not overly concerned about another offensive explosion.

"It's pretty rare to see games like that, hopefully they used them all up," said Laviolette. "But we know they won't put up a goose egg. They have a very talented team and there's a good reason why they exploded the way they did."

Said Jason Wiemer: "We can't get into a run 'n gun type game with them because they have too many world-class athletes. Defense is going to win this game."

In order to shut down the Caps, Laviolette's squad will need to impede the progress of Jaromir Jagr, who tallied seven points against Florida two nights ago. To do that, the second year coach will call on all of his defensemen, including heavyweight Eric Cairns

I had Edm and the over as plays but I laid off because of the juice hope it does not come back to haunt me.

finished the day 2-2 + 2.8 units

WTF happened to the Leafs- maybe the Rangers are starting their cup run:shrug:

And the Bruins looked terrible:mad:

my numbers also say over in the Kings game but the juice and a gut feel says no for me- once again hope Im right for holding back.

Hope you all had great nights:D

chenker i dont think its a matter of NYR playing that great...i saw toronto play in person the other night and they seem like a team that is tired ..they have been decimated by injuries and have been playing over thier head with the talent they have...take a look at those games after the injuries and you will see Belfour basically was playing out of his mind....so unless he goes into one of those hot streaks this team may be on a down cycle...add the fact that KIDD was in net tonight and in my opinion it was a recipe for disaster...you know my style so im not trying to show you up or saying told you so...just stating were i was coming from on my play and my analysis....

good to her everything worked out...good luck cooz
