wild 106 to win 100
U4.5 130 to win 100

I thought the wild outplayed the ducks, but there is that guy in net for the ducks. wild put up 39 shots:eek: and didn't get one. gotta love the way the wild are playing. I don't think their going to go away very easily.

After the first game i think it's worth taking the under.

good luck everyone:grins:

Good luck on Monday, poo:D. I'm with you in that Minny outplayed Ana, and we were lucky to come away with a W. This has been the Ducks trademark throughout the playoffs, though, as they've been outshot in 10 of the 11 games they've played in, yet they've only gotten 2 losses to go with 9 wins. I was really surprised at the energy level of Minny, I'm sure most of us did. These Wilds are playing like they're the energizer bunnies, but the fatigue HAS to set in sooner or later, I don't care who you are. On Monday, they'll be playing their 4th in 6, 5th in 8, all the way up to 12th in 22days, and 5 of the last 11 games that Minny played went into OT. History is on Minny's side as 9 of the L10 conf Finals started 1-1, and Minny is the underdog on Monday which is a nice bonus, but Giggy is the hottest goalie on the planet right now, and with this unfavorable schedule that Minny's on, I'm finding it very hard to pull the trigger on Minny.

I'm leaning toward to Quacks, but I might just hang on to my winnings and the Quacks series tix and watch the game. If the Quacks win on Monday nite, then I'll be pounding NJ on Tuesday, and vice versa.

Like the Under, also, as we're deep into the Cup Run, and we'll be seeing a lot more of 2-0, 2-1 type of scores now.

I was happy to see Ducks win Game 1, as now I can jump on some juicy odds on this Wild club. They ran out of gas in the 2OT, but should win Monday night and go on to take the series at +200 right now. Carib and 5Dimes are offering +900 on Wild to win Cup and I think this is also generous. Jiggy is awesome, but the patient Minnesota boys will wait for their spots and beat him when it counts. This series could likely go 7, but at 2-to-1 odds currently I love the Wild once more. Their speed advantage was quite evident in Game One.

ddubs- definetly love the under for the rest of this series. with the wilds defence and goaltending and of course giggy, doing his thing, and the ducks defence playing well, should be fairly safe betting.--but i've been wrong before:p just ask my girlfriend!!!

I think both the wild and ducks are better off playing a patient defensive game and waiting for their opportunities to score. The wild IMHO might be better off letting the ducks bring it to them and just shut them down and take giggy out of the game. Giggy stopped 39 out of 39-I know this might sound a little crazy, but what if he only faces 15 to 20 shots. I think when a goalie sees a lot of action it keeps them in the game, compared to sitting back there just watching and waiting.

I agree with you about the fatigue factor and that worries me a little, but man the wild showed no sign of it at all, i was very suprised:eek:

if you have time i'd love to hear your angle on the devils. I figure they will win a game or two, but I think the sens will control most of the series.

walleyek- great price on the wild to comeback in the series. might hedge my bet on the ducks so i could win a little money no matter who wins. Wild have a good chance at beating these guys, but it's up to giguere.

good luck to you guys and thanks for the comments.:D

JMHO, I just couldn't take the Wild until they show me that they can beat Giggy.......

Here are a few interesting comments on Giggy thruout the playoff, it's really funny how they all say pretty much the same thing......

Detroit's Kirk Maltby said after the Red Wings lost Game 1 in the third overtime: "We had a lot of chances, Giguere just kept them out of the net"

3 games later Detroit got swept......

Mike Modano, after the Ducks won Game 1 in the fifth overtime: "We feel we outplayed them in every aspect of the game"

Modano, after Game2 loss in Dallas to fall 2-0: "I thought we outchanced them and outplayed them in every aspect of the game, but we haven't been lucky."

4 games later Dallas is gone......

"Sooner or later the puck has got to go into the net," Wild winger Marian Gaborik said. "We had great opportunities [Saturday.] If we keep getting chances, it is going to go in."

Sure, but can they score enough to win 4 games from Giggy out of the next 6 games??

They even tried unconventional gamesmanship to try to get to Giggy:D......

"I don't know what the regulations are or whatever, but his pads are way too big," Dallas' Claude Lemieux said before Game 1 of the semifinals

"His pads might be oversized," Laaksonen said, after Game1 loss on Saturday

Bottom line is, this man is on a mission, and he stops everything he sees, AND he doesn't give up a whole lotta rebounds. Minny has to get some people in front of him and block his view somehow, instead of going crazy all over the ice just getting shots on goals. Huge difference between Giggy and Cloutier.

Manny may not have his mind completely on the game tonite, either, as his father is scheduled to have a Triple-Bypass Heart Surgery tomorrow morning. Manny took a flight out to see his dad right after Game1 and only had 2 hrs of sleep.

Anyways, FWIW, thought I'd put these info up. I think if Minny doesn't get the lead by the end of 2nd period, the mental and physical fatigue will really set in. If they can get an early lead, they can really concentrate on the trap and conserve energy / protect the lead.

Good luck tonite, guys:D

good write up, ddubs... didn't hear manny was starting, we all thought rollie would get the call but apparently bertuzzi's (aka al secord) take out hurt him more than we thought ... i agree wild need to score first and early -- this guy can frustrate people...heard from several players they think his pads are illegal -- wonder if they've been checked? i still love the wild at 9:1 to win this whole thing...

walleyek: Yes, they have been checked, and they ARE legal:). The Avs and Wilds are just trying to get any edge they can to shake Giggy's psyche. As far as Manny starting, it is definitely NOT confirmed, and I'm sure Lemaire will never let us know just how serious Rollie's injury is or not. I'm just assuming that Manny's starting since he had a stellar start last game. We probably won't know until game time:shrug: .

Good luck!:D

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
those MN newspapers had pieces on how tired the teams were in last game, and promise more bounce inthis one.

Giggy has stated many times he's better facing a ton of shots than a few. Luongo is same.

guy on ESPN said of 210 series matchups in NHL this season, the lowest scoring of all 210 was Ducks/MN!

Poo, I'll probably be on Jersey regardless, as this team has been awesome on the road in the playoffs the last few yrs, but if the Quacks win tonite, I'll be on them huge, since the percentages will be in our favor (9/10 series start 1-1 angle :D )

Good luck!
