Tough weekend. . . lost a little overall which is fine. I think we can make some back tonight:
St. John's pk over UConn. . . first off, this is a system play as St. John's began as a one point favorite over a ranked dog. Recent matchups of these teams show that the home team has won the last six and St. John's has covered the last six. A little concerned that St. John's has lost at home to the likes of Villanova and Manhattan and has really looked better on the road than at home. But UConn hasn't exactly torn it up on the road either losing 3 out of 4. Should be a tough game and not sure just how big I will play this yet but feel the home team takes this one.
BTW, Tuesdays games look very promising for system plays. Especially one in particular
Texas +whatever over Kansas. . . normally I would be all over the other side, but the Horns cruised to victory on Saturday while Kansas barely crossed the finish line against Arizona. Texas has a definite depth advantage over the Jayhawks and should be able to wear this team down in a similar fashion. With one day to prepare for this game, I think the Horns will be ready and the Hawks may be a little flat. Will consider the ML as well, but no question that the points will be valuable in this one.
Looking at the rest still including Manhattan and Illinois Chicago.
