YTD (8-1-1)
yesterday 1-0-1 (wish i had waited just before tip for the +5.5 on mizzou)

Drexel +6.5 v. UNCC

I don't have the 6.5 yet but i'm pretty sure i'll get it. I'm generally not a contrarian player, and i don't really think this pick is too far out in left field. These are the two best teams in the Colonial conference, and they deserve to fight it out for a birth in the dance. Both teams are playing well, and should make for a good game. I love Drexels big man, he eats space, grabs boards, and scores points. UNCC counters with a solid one-two punch in Blizzard, and Callahan. Both teams have an abundance of experience. Drexel returned all 5 starters, and UNCC brought back 4. I'm a firm believer that it takes experience, and good coaching to win these conference tournaments...in that respect i give Drexel, a minicule advantage. UNCC lost a great coach in Jerry Wainright, while Drexel's Bruiser Flint, brought the program back to respectability last year, and is knocking on the door this year. I don't know if they get it done tonight, but if i can get 6.5 i'll take my chances.

will probably be back with more.

This forum has really brought me some great luck. I had been posting in another forum for the past couple seasons, but unfortunately it got to a point where, for every poster i respected, there were another 20 whose purpose for posting in a gambling forum were unknown to me. MAD JACK whoever you are, you do a excellent job of keeping the drama to a minimum. The info sharing, and atmosphere in this place is ideal.

anyway...I digress.

Small play on Manhatten -5.5 (i would love to have gotten 5, but missed the boat..at least at my books)

Matthatten is the best team in the MAAC. They have struggled a little down the stretch, and Gonzalez has yet to show that his team can get it done in the conference tourney. Fairfield has been solid in conference, and rarely gets blown out. Only twice in conference have they lost by more than 5. Once to manhatten (by 7), and once to Niagra (by 11). It looks like they tend to run into trouble against teams with solid guard play, that like to push the pace. Manhatten can do just that. Fairfield will try to pound it down low, while Mahatten will rely on Flores. These teams split in the regular season, each winning on the road. In the fairfield win, fairfield shot 40 FT's, 13 more than the jaspers, while fouling out wingate, and holmes with only a combined 30 minutes of playing time. Generally, in a conference championship game the refs tend to keep the whistle in their pockets. If this proves to be the case, I like manhatten to finally get it done, with a convicing victory.

--I already played this for half a unit, and will wait and see what "box and one" has to say, he seems to know his shit about the metro. hopefully we agree.
