More corporate welfare you won't hear a peep from the so-called conservatives on here.

I think most conservatives on here, myself included, are appalled and disgusted that our money is going to be doled out in the form of bonuses to the very group at AIG that made so many horrible decisions involving CDS contracts. I still have a hard time believing there are people in that dept. that still have their fucking jobs after these mistakes. Bonuses? For what? Only losing 8 gazillion instead of 9. This is legalized robbery.

President Barack Obama says his administration will "pursue every legal avenue" to stop insurance giant American International Group from paying $165 million in executive bonuses. Obama made the declaration at the outset of an appearance at the White House to announce new steps to ease loans for small businesses hurt by the economic crisis.

A guess we can assume this is bipartasian.

Two thoughts: First, it is definitely change to try to keep the wealthy business people from taking big bonuses from taxpayer money, and second, looks like Obama is trying to come up with something tangible to help small businesses.

Let me first say that if they wouldn?t have given them the money we wouldn?t have to worry about it. Let all the fukers fail and allow better ran companies to take their place. The quote below from obama is odd to me though.

Said Obama: "All across the country, there are people who work hard and meet their responsibilities every day, without the benefit of government bailouts or multimillion-dollar bonuses. And all they ask is that everyone, from Main Street to Wall Street to Washington, play by the same rules."

"This isn't just a matter of dollars and cents," he added. "It's about our fundamental values."

While I can?t disagree with the quote, I do wonder where it was when he was signing a stimulus package that bailed out irresponsible homeowners. Should we not look at the finances of recipients of mortgage bailouts to make sure their not buying beer or gambling? I say let em all fail, but if you want to give money then like he says, play by the same rules.

I heard Severin today. The guy has been crying since Obama won. This is the same guy who once said during the election that things are so bad he wants the Dems to win because no one will come out of this mess looking good. Now, all of a sudden the mess was created in the last 50 days. A real moron.
