Stevie:

I find it quite interesting how the right is now portraying Viet Nam as a good and noble war. The real scary thing is that some of these people were, like you and I, around back then. Seems although some of us learned the lessons of that ridiculous waste of life many others did not.

The real irony is that the guy who actually fought in it is getting nailed for alledged superficial wounds and telling the truth upon his return and the guy who ducked it as a result of political connections and wealth (much like todays Haliburton) is not getting called on the carpet. Our right wing friends and the liberal media appear to be more concerned with Nixon puppets like O'Neil than where our darling president was in 1972.

Ferdville:

It is NOT the same thing and you know it. I person in a wheel chair whose legs were blown up by some claymore in Viet Nam is different than a person who has lost the use of their legs as a result of a spinal cord injury which stem cell research could eventually bring a cure. I think if Kerry is elected he will do much more than Bush in advancing stem cell research. The republicans do not want to alienate their psycho religous right base.

With regard to your idiots comment, I have no arguement. Again, the most crucial issue facing this country are not the criminals in DC, outsourcing, the economy or the Iraq war. By far, this country's future is dependent upon the immediate passage of effective campaign finance reform.

No one attacked the messenger. If one carefully rereads your posts and my posts in this thread they will get a very good example of how the right members of this board argue. You are dead wrong on this point and it couldn't be more clear. You attempted to bolster your arguement by, as the right always does, stretching and distorting a comment.

Again, the emperor has no clothes.
