my sound wont work......cant turn the knob on the keyboard to get sound and CD's wont play either...

i was trying to clean up my computer and think i might have erased something....

anyone know what to do? probably best option is to reboot windows....

A KNOB on your keyboard???? There's your problem.

That's your TV dude, not your computer.

Rebooting solves ALMOST everything. Second to worst case scenario, you need to re-install the drivers for your sound card.

The drivers are either on a disk that came with it or you can download them. I doubt you erased them, though. There's not in a place you should be noodling around.

Worst case scenario, you're sound card or speakers got fried somehow. Highly doubtful that happened though.

Just reboot.

i went to the HP website and figured out the problem...needed to reload files from Windows disk....

must have erased a wrong one...

got so much garbage on my cpu from differnet things i downloaded it makes me sick...pisses me off all these aggressive marketers who screw up everyone's computer by somehow getting their programs on them....very shady and dishonest IMO
