Did Wisconsinites resoundly reject Feingold and his liberal ways just 18 months ago?
It clearly wasn't a vote FOR Johnson - it was, however, a clear vote AGAINST Feingold.
Liberalism (outside of Madison) is not "in" in Wisconsin.
I hope we have seen the last of that guy. Even Kohl (who is an empty skull) is less dangerous than Feingold.
The good thing is WI will finally have a voter ID law (one of the few states in the country that doesn't have it) - which will really hurt Dems chances in the next election (and future ones).
Not sayin' the next senator will be a Republican - it's probably 50/50 right now - but am saying ABF
Anything But Feingold. The people spoke clearly 18 months ago. Feingold is a liberal nutjob.
Like to see who will be running. We will get an early indication about Scott Walker immediately as I am sure the Democratic nominee will definitely be be attacking his policies. If the Dem wins then that will be a red flag to Walker, if the Rep wins then Walker will looking good.
You live in your own little Fox News world, dontcha Mags?Trench:

Walker's lies, threats, cronyism, union-busting tactics, violations of the open meetings laws, and his outright assault on the middle-class in Wisconsin have swayed a lot more than the (approx.) 50,000 votes that it would take to reverse the outcome of the mid-term election.
See, that is where you are wrong. Walker is protecting the middle class, and the rest of us, from unreasonable costs in the public sector by eliminating the bullying by unions.
Face it, public unions are a special interest, affecting a small portion of Wisconsinites. The majority of us are sick of paying too much for government services. He is protecting us, and helping the business climate, in Wisconsin.
Those of us who work for a living and those of us that don't say "well if you want me to work overtime, pay me time and a half" are very happy for what Walker is doing.
The public unions are nothing more than a special interest bullying faction. It is time that they are brought back to the same level and conditions the rest of us work under. No more special priveledges due to electing your boss.
On Wisconsin!
you are against time and a half for OT?
You're being obtuse again, Mags. The vast majority of private sector workers are NOT salaried and DO receive overtime pay.BP - salaried workers in the private (professional) sector are expected to work 45-60 hours a week and do not get paid overtime.

You can try to marginalize public sector workers all you want but the numbers don't lie. There are over 300,000 public sector workers in Wisconsin and the average family size in the U.S. is 3.14. It doesn't take a mathematician to realize that's almost 1 million residents in Wisconsin directly affected by Walker's assault on the middle-class. Walker's day of reckoning is coming.
Those numbers are pure BS that you pulled out of your hat.
The average salaried worker puts in about 43 hours per week.
It has certainly done that. I suspect in the future the citizens of Wisconsin will be very wary of electing politicians whose campaign coffers are stuffed with $Millions from ruthless corporatists like the Koch Bros. The best part of what Walker's doing - it has made everyone in WI take a hard look at the corruption in government.
And the average government worker shows up for their job 37.5 hours a week, but actually only works 20 of those hours.
What's your point?

BP - salaried workers in the private (professional) sector are expected to work 45-60 hours a week and do not get paid overtime. In fact, many private sector companies, when hiring, will look poorly on government employees, due to the differences in work ethic and the fact the government employees feel entitled. The demonstrations in WI made that pretty clear "you are taking away my rights - I'm entitled!".
I know I never hired one, because I didn't want an employee watching the clock, and leaving at 4:00 each day because that was "all they were required to work".
