If you are not familiar with Mumia?s case, he is the former Black Panther who was convicted of murdering a police office in Philadelphia on December 9, 1981. Although he was given the death penalty, endless appeals have kept Abu-Jamal alive on death row. Last December, a deal was struck to end the appeals process and Mumia Abu-Jamal?s sentence was changed to life without parole.

That sentencing change has not stopped the movement that wants Mumia?s conviction overturned and they have scheduled an event to continue their protest.
