Bills General Manager Doug Whaley has said he?s interested enough in some of the top prospects in this year?s draft that there are ?players we would trade up to get.? Now there?s a report saying the Bills are actively working on a trade, and there are three specific players they want.

Those three players are South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, Auburn offensive tackle Greg Robinson and Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins, according to Todd McShay of ESPN.

?I?ve heard from three league sources in the past week that the Bills are trying to trade up,? McShay writes. ?If they do make a move, it?ll likely be to land Clowney, Robinson or Watkins.?

Robinson is widely regarded as an elite left tackle, but trading up for him sounds like an odd move, as the Bills could probably stay put at No. 9 and still take one of the other top tackle prospects, Texas A&M?s Jake Matthews or Michigan?s Taylor Lewan. Perhaps the Bills have Robinson rated much, much higher than Matthews and Lewan, but that move seems like a long shot.

Clowney or Watkins, however, would make a lot of sense. Lining up Clowney opposite Mario Williams would give the Bills two of the most talented pass rushers to enter the NFL in the last decade. And Watkins would have a huge affect on Bills quarterback EJ Manuel.

Whaley said that his view on trading up is, ?If we think a guy would help us make the playoffs, why wouldn?t we make the deal?? The question now is how much the Bills would have to give up to make a move from No. 9 to No. 1 or No. 2.

Me too !!

Who are you hoping for the Ravens ?

I was watching calvin pryor highlights on youtube and the guy is a jack tatum throwback(of course with all the rule changes, that might not be a good thing)...we need more of a free safety than a strong safety,so scheme-wise he might not be the perfect fit....not crazy about ha ha dix so if we don`t grab pryor,I`m hoping jimmie ward falls to us in the second...

if not pryor at 1,i was hoping taylor lewan slides to 17(I know, fat chance)....

guys that impress me(but I don`t think are ozzie newsome`s style) are kyle van noy from byu(for some reason I`m not entirely sold on c.j.mosely...he seems small, but, guys like luke kuechly aren`t real big either and he`s crazy good)....van noy just makes big plays(turnovers/blocked passes/good athletic cover lb for his size)...

at wide receiver I like Jordan Matthews from vandy...the guy was game-planned against every game in the sec and still put up incredible numbers....and I wouldn`t bitch if beckham or marquise lee found their way here...we never had a quick little slot guy and this kid herron from Wyoming would be a nice middle round get...

at rb,one guy that jumped out at me was lache seastrunk.........he`s kind of flying under the radar.. wasn`t a "load" carrier at Baylor(less than 20 carries a game)......but.the guy is amazing with his lateral cuts and burst....and at 5`9" 205,he`s got real lower body strength....these guys that can head upfield and then cut laterally(ala gale sayers) amaze me....I think this guy will do something on sundays...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ATV13gzocN0

which brings me to terrance west...the guy is a local product(towson st) nut that`s nit why I like him......he`s stocky and very powerful but has a knack for breaking many 20-30 yard runs.....another guy that runs amazingly well in traffic and can make subtle changes of direction...he has great hands and is probably the most durable back in the draft...

as for qb`s,i love aaron murray...surprised he`s getting overlooked(height?)...hate logan Thomas from va tech...

sorry I ran on.......I`m goosed about this draft...I think the ravens (with 4 picks in the first hundred and 2 more in the 4th) can make some serious hay this year...

cardinals are on the come...could be their breakout year?...love their secondary...:toast:

How about the new Giant secondary ? They should be top notch after a few games together....

I want to see the Giants draft 2 o-linemen in the first 4 picks....& unless Evans is there at 12, I would like them to pick Martin in the first round....

my bad...i forgot you were a ny guy......you need a guard or a tackle?...martin`s name`s been bandied about here in b`more,too...I`m hearing he`s a lead pipe cinch as a guard...a very good rt tackle and a bit of a ?? at left tackle ....they say he has a nasty disposition(in a good way) .........

don`t you guys need an rb or two?...I don`t think rashard Jennings is going to be"the guy".....

Martin is who I want the Giants to take....

I like the Jennings signing because he has very little wear & tear on him....& he is 230 lbs.

I think the Giants needs are in no order....o-line, w-receiver, t-end, d-line, l-backer, safety, & r-back

In other words almost every position....

Draft Insider Tony Pauline reports the Ravens "covet" North Carolina TE Eric Ebron, and he's their "No. 1 target."

The Ravens hold the 17th overall pick in Thursday's first round. They already have Dennis Pitta locked into a long-term deal and Owen Daniels as their No. 2 tight end. But Daniels is only on a one-year pact, and new OC Gary Kubiak's offense keeps two tight ends heavily involved at all times. Pairing Ebron with Pitta would be a heckuva duo, though Ebron could go as high as No. 9 overall.

In a poll of 19 NFL personnel men, 13 voted Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix the 2014 draft's top safety.

HHCD's 13 votes dwarfed second-place finisher Calvin Pryor's (Louisville) three. Northern Illinois' Jimmie Ward, Washington State's Deone Bucannon, and Florida State's Lamarcus Joyner each received one first-place vote.

Although Clinton-Dix is not regarded as a special athlete (4.58 forty, 33-inch vertical), he is the heavy favorite to be the first safety drafted this Thursday.

The Browns have three picks within the top 35 in this week?s draft, and while the focus has primarily been on their top pick (fourth overall), Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com has some details on the team?s targets at Nos. 26 and 35. According to Cabot, Browns GM Ray Farmer is ?enamored with? Louisville signal-caller Teddy Bridgewater and will strongly consider him at 26th overall. Cabot also hears that Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde is on the club?s radar at No. 35.

Despite many reports of Bridgewater?s falling stock, there?s no guarantee he?d be on the board when the Browns pick at No. 26, and the team?s pick at No. 4 should significantly affect the direction of that second first-round pick. According to Cabot , an ideal situation would have the Browns landing offensive tackle Greg Robinson fourth overall, Bridgewater 26th, and a receiver or Hyde 35th.

The Browns? decisions could have a significant ripple effect on the rest of the first round, since the team has a few potential holes. The need for a quarterback and receiver could mean that players like Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, and Sammy Watkins are also in play for the team at fourth overall. Meanwhile, Tony Grossi of ESPNCleveland.com suggested earlier today that a trade down from No. 4 is possible as well.

In my view, snagging Robinson and Bridgewater in the first round would be a nice haul for Cleveland, though I?d question whether 35th overall is a good spot to draft a running back, particularly when after the club added Ben Tate in free agency. I?m also not sure Robinson makes it past the Rams at No. 2, assuming St. Louis keeps its selection.

I personally like pryor/jimmie ward and buchannon more than dix...but newsome is an Alabama guy,so,imo,if dix or Moseley is there at 17 and they don`t trade back,it`ll be one of those two....

not crazy about ebron...I think he`s overrated....and we already have pitta and owen daniels on the roster.....

Mosley is a very good ballplayer & I think the Ravens would love for him to be there when they pick....

if I had my druthers,i`d definitely take Moseley over dix.....unfortunately,we have glaring holes at free safety and rt tackle...much bigger pryor fan(even though he`s more of a strong safety)...

I really want the ravens to address their biggest weaknesses(safety/rt tackle) before screwing aroung at positions that aren`t crucial....last year our first 4 picks were on defense and our first offensive pick in the 4th was a fullback:)facepalm:)....the result was an utterly brutal offense with absolutely no effective depth....no real replacement found for boldin or matt birk..no effective tight end or running back depth...

we should get the must haves out of the way so we can address the running game, get a decent young wideout and maybe a nickel corner/dt down the line....

the ravens lucked out on flacco(who was a boller-type reach when they got him)...they just aren`t very offensive draft-savvy...the offense has always been a ravens` draft day step-child and the league is changing in a more offensive way(seattle notwithstanding)...

g.l. partner...i hope you get martin and if you don`t,i hope we do....:toast:
