Do not be surprised if James Shields is a scratch in the next hour or so for Padres, rumored to be heading to Angels or Giants.

Ben Zobrist UT, to KC for LHP Prospect, Sean Manea.

Jonathan Papelbon on docket to either Nats or Pirates.

Twins with a shot at AL Wild Card making noise but who do they want?

Reds about ready to Ship, Mike Leake to Tigers.

Wild Bill buyer beware on Shields with his over 5.00 ERA on the road this year and his another ridiculous multi year deal to an over 30 yr old pitcher(4yrs $75 million that expires when he is 37):scared:scared..

I read and listen to everything on my buccos and Papelbon to pirates is new to me because he says he will void any trade that doesn't allow him to close is why I thought nationals is a good fit. Melancon has one blown save and leads all relievers in saves. Pirates need a 7th inning guy besides Hughes and they are good to go.

There were discussions on a 3 way involving Pitt/Hou/Phil, Phils wanted Taillon and Josh Bell from Pirates, Papelbon would go to Houston, Houston would ship Singleton some cash and a player to be named later to Pittsburgh. All is a mute point now with Nats getting Papelbon.

Rizzo knows how to screw up a wet dream!

Why the fuck would the Bucs ever do this?

I totally agree Lee.

I do see the Pirates picking up another reliever/bat before the deadline, Reyes and Gonz of Colorado rumored to be packaged together, Gonz has a $1,000,000 payout if he is traded and Reyes goes from potential playoff bound to toilet bound ain't gonna settle, Rockies have one decent SS prospect in the minors but that's about it.

Hamels, (Braves dangling vets, Maybin/Chris Johnson), Tampa shopping Longoria, Boston (Miley, Jackie Bradley), Miami (Morse). Not much else out there, White Sox wanting a boat load for Sam or any starting pitcher including Danks, I'd take Quintana personally, guy pitches his ass off but gets no run support hardly.

Will interesting next couple days.

STL Cards needing some offensive punch added lefty hitter, Brandon Moss from the Cleveland Injuns for LHP prospect Rob Kaminsky, a New Jersey-ite mini mite.

Cards still looking for another bat, looking at OF Matt Kemp/Justin Upton, and Adam LaRoche from the White Sox. Matt Holiday with another apparent leg injury and 1b, Matt Adams out still till September (major leg muscle injury). This is where the Bucs add pressure and go for the jugular and Pirates facing Reds, Reds are 7-2 this year vs the Bucs. Redemption time?
