I'm sure it is no surprise to many of you that I've already seen this video. Mormons are absolutely crazy to believe this nonsense. Of course, I believe all religions are nonsense, but this one is a complete joke.
This cartoon is kind of hard to watch if you aren't as fascinated with religious stupidity as I am, but I have a thread with a SouthPark shortened version of the Mormon story.

First off, what makes you think that an atheist would shoot up a church? It doesn't happen. Atheists value life on earth.
You can call me intolerant all you want when it comes to religion, because it is true. I don't have tolerance for organized stupidity, especially one that is going to lead to the end of mankind. Religion is dumbing down our society and its a complete embarrassment to listen to people defend ID, creationism, and the importance of prayer.
Intolerance is very ugly. I'm sure atheists eveywhere are glad to have you speak on their behalf.
Atheism requires faith too, that's the irony. Nobody knows the answers and we all make assumptions and leaps of faith at the origins of life, afterlife, etc.
I completely agree that organized religion seems to have mostly a negative effect on the globe. I lean agnostic - because I can't actually make the atheist's leap of faith that there is no God.
As for Jesus and Devil being brothers - I've definitley heard more ridiculous things than that. In fact, in many ways it kind of makes sense.

Going to church doesnt make anyone a better Christian much the same as showing up at a garage makes anyone a "good" mechanic

When I was in college, the professors would explain, "One cannot learn the course material simply by attending lectures. That has the same impact on the mind as watching TV. One must read the texts and write the papers." To this day, those papers are the only thing I still remember about those subjects I took in college.

Let me know when you're ready to contribute to this topic. If you don't agree with my religious perspective, challenge it. I've gone back and forth with SixFive, BLGStocks, and Buddy plenty of times on religious beliefs and it never gets ugly. If you want to start playing with my words and attacking me as a person, expect the same in return.

what i don`t respect is the intolerance....christians and mormons aren`t chopping off heads or committing genocide...nobody`s forcing anyone to be called to prayer 5 times a day or to wash their feet....they aren`t hanging homo`s or subjugating women....
