Red Sox Nation? They weren't even known as "Red Sox Nation" until they started winning championships, which in case New Englanders forget (and it seems they have) was only a few years ago. Before 2004, Red Sox fans were like Cubs fans: lovable losers. You felt sorry for them when Bucky Dent, Bill Buckner and Aaron Boone happened.

Really wasnt so bad.Wish they won,but when they lost,my first reaction was oh well someone elses turn.

Between the Celtics ,Bo Sox and Patriots winning ,ive become conditioned to win.
The hungers gone for a while,but by the time it comes back odds are the Pats,Celtics hell maybe even the Bs this year:00hour ya never know:mj06:

All their glory comes from playing the Yankees...they don't celebrate winning the world series vs St. Louis years ago, they celebrate the ALCS. Someone says the Yanks are playing the Sox tonight and they have to ask if it is the White Sox or the Red Sox. The Yanks are the Yanks and the Sox could be anyone. New Yorkers have enjoyed more subway series alone than the Red Sox fans have seen world series victories in the last 90 years. If it wasn't the Giants in the world series, it was the Dodgers, or the Mets...New York vs New York. It never ends for New York.
Perfect game in world series, Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, and Reggie, all with rings, goodness, even a guy named Hector Lopez has four rings.
