and then the scene where she hurls chunks on the priest.

Full Metal Jacket

The scene where they are getting killed one by one by a sniper. They go in and find the sniper is a girl. They shoot her.

That whole ten minutes was the most riveting for me. I felt like I was living in it with them. I think that is their ultimate goal but its hard to achieve.

Vanishing Point - the end scene where he slams into the train.

If I think of any more, I will be back .

I think the Crying Game wins hands down for most shocking.:look:

Now biggest suspense twist, in my opinion, was Usual Suspects.

Dawg hit it on the head (sorry for the pun). "The Crying Game" was the most "shocking" scene.

Shocking to me was "Fight Club".

Shining, part where that kid is driving around hotel with tricycle, you just know something bad is going to happen.

An American werewolf in London, guy wakes up in the hospital after horrible nightmare and nurse is reading some book next to him ( nurse wasn't shocking but what happens next ).

When trumpets fade, where group of soldiers walk right in to the huge artillery strike ( episode is copied from an russian war film but i can't remember the originals name ).

The scene in "House of Games" when Lindsay Crouse is in the resturant and overhears the crew talking about scamming her. Talk about an awakening.
Lol Pet, that scene came into my head also. Stay away from the curtains!

I would have to agree that was about the worst movie I have seen in many many years. Depressing and no plot or style. What a waste for Jack.

Good movies already listed. I'll add Nighthawks with Stallone Billy Dee Williams and Rutger Hauer. Great movie all along with a great ending of Stallone dressed up as the woman and then smoking Hauer when he is sneaking up.

I'll also add Shoot to Kill. Not that it was all that shocking, but I liked not knowing who was the killer when they were on the hike. Cool movie!
