Toledo +5

Home Field Advantage - BC Fans and Players not to happy about going to Detroit. They are still pissed at ND. No BC fans will be there(day after xmas). 75% of Ford Field will be toledo/MAC Fans. The Field Turf has been said by NFL Players "A running backs dream" good for Toledo's "Baby Backs"

Marshall -2 over 59

Marshall OLine too good. Looservilles OLine sucks....Nobody will stop Leftwich

Will have a better write-up later

I like the over in the Marshall/Louisville game. With Leftwich and Ragone, it will be a 4 hour plus game. One thing to remember about Marshall, being away from home they won't get their automatic 2-3 pass interference calls that they feel they're entitled to.

they've all looked like legit PI calls to me.

(The 3 that everyone here has been crying about vs Miami and Toledo)

And no I'm not a Marhall guy and no I didn't bet on Marshall, just a neutral observer watching both games.

The Toledo one was legit....actually it wasnt a PI it was a defensive holding. Buttttt what we MAC Fans cry about is how Leftwich cries about every call and gets into the officials face and doesnt get flagged for it. I would LOVE to see him try to get into a SEC's officials face...he`ll toss his ass. MAC Officials wouldnt have the balls too

What about the phony pass int. call against Ball State? Ball State had the lead and stopped the Bumbling Herd on 3rd down only to have the obligatory flag get tossed. It completely changed the game. The calls in the Miami O game were laughably bad. Even if you had bet Marshall, you had to admit those were pathetic calls.

Actually the ones in the Miami game were legit.

The first one on 4th down was PI/holding in the corner with the DB never looking back for the ball.

The second one was Irreleveant weather you thought it was PI or not. It was a 1 yard penalty and there were only 8 seconds left anyway, it didn't matter.

As for Leftwich calling for PI all the time....hmmm he must have been watching Rice/Irvin his whole life growing up. The do/did the same thing in the NFL almost everytime they don't catch the ball.

On virtually every pass int penalty in those 3 games, the play happened, the pass was incomplete, then a wait of about 2-3 seconds and the flags came out. It was almost if the refs looked at each other and said, "oh yeah, its Marshall...we have to throw the flag." The pass int in the Toledo game was legit (I'll argue to the day I die they weren't in the Miami O game) but even then, the flag didn't come out right away.

On every Marshall incomplete you have to pause and wait 3 seconds to make sure there's no flags.

kinda think youre goin with your heart on the toledo game. bc is pretty physical up front and could have a field day on toledo's porous defense. rockets will score their share im sure but bc is just a much better team.

as for marshall/louisville- game has all the makings of a shootout but ragone is such a hot/cold quarterback. can make a case for both sides, but i would concur with your marshall lean.

No heart. Toledo has covered I think the last 5 or 6 games by playing with there hearts. BC dont want to be in Detroit....besides - BC sucks. They arent good...I dont know what makes you think they are good....just because they beat ND??? Big deal. Ive watched BC more then enough times to know how bad they are....they gave up NEARLY 400 rushing yards to Navy for god sakes....toledo OLine is the biggest in the nation and will destroy that BC DLine. Hell ask Pitt how good Toledo is...misleading scores.......

Nobody will come to watch BC...maybe 2K AT THE MOST.

i guess we'll agree to disagree. im absolutely not gonna buy the toledo/pittsburgh argument. i had toledo plus the points there and it was an awful bet. toledo got absolutely manhandled. jones put up all those yards in garbage time. you should know that, as you are a loyal fan. im lookin objectively at this one. ive made a good amount of money on toledo this year. theyve always been a good team for me. but just dont see it here. their defense is giving up way too many yards in the last month for me to think theyre gonna have a realistic shot to win. agree to disagree

as far as fan base goes- as much as it pains me to say it- the mac has a pathetic fan base. outside of marshall, fan support is very lame. bc may bring 2k, but thats about what toledo's gonna bring. the rest will be neutral people who just want to see a bowl game. its really a shame the mac teams dont get the fan support they deserve either. detroit is all of an hour away from these schools and it still wont make a huge difference. toledo will bring a fan base, but hardly an intimidating one or anything thats worth noting.

Garbage time?!?! pleaseeee....I listened to the game...I know what happened....Hell I`ll even tell you...

http://utrockets.ocsn.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/092802aab.html

Toledo moved the ball AT WILL....yes AT WILL....but turnovers in the redzone wont help anybody win....I can assure you that. Instead of Toledo getting 21 points....Pitt got 21 points....42 point swing.

And again....your looking at these stats and boxscores...look behind the boxscore. Giving up all these yards?!? To who...

You make it sound like BC is a powerhouse with an offense. They did NOTHING this year. NOTHING. They are awful - just because they are from the Big East dont mean anything. Who'd they beat in the BE...Temple? Rutgers? Cuse? BC wont stop our running game....the more we run the more they stay on the sideline. We will have total homefield advantage....no BC fans will come...almost everybody at Ford Field will be a Toledo/MAC Fan

Whatttt I cant believe Iam reading this. Toledo ALONE brought 36K to the MCB last year....Cincy only brought 8K...if that! On top of that....Not only will Toledo bring at least 35K....Mt. Pleasent, Kalamazoo, Yipisi, and BG are all within 2 hours of Ford Field. Alot of MAC Fans will attend because for one - its a MAC game, two - ticket is pretty cheap, and three - they know Toledo is good. I can assure you over 50K will be at Ford Field

Apparently somebody must agree w/us Toledo backers since the line has dropped from 5.5 to 4; squares aren't the ones moving bowl lines this early.

hellah- normally i respect your opinion a good deal, but when it comes to toledo- you dont always look objectively. with the way youre talking- you make it seem like toledo was undefeated this year. dude- when a team gets beat, they get beat. pittsburgh ripped toledo pretty good. it was never a game. toledo hung in there in the 1st quarter. then pittsburgh basically pulled away and it was never a game.

i dont ever recall saying that bc is a powerhouse. for whatever reason, youre putting words in my mouth. just because someone is considering betting against your beloved rockets doesnt mean that they:

1) consider toledo a bad team
2) nor do they consider their opposition good necessarily

its all about looking at it objectively.
