Took wife to see it last night (non 3d version)--was only bout 10 people in theatre.

Have to admit I liked it--thought the visual effects were cool--hanging mountains--the big tree. amazing what they can do technology nowdays.

I broke down and DVR'd Avatar.

Wife and I started watching it the other day, looked at each other, then decided to watch something else. Picked it back up yesterday. I'm glad I saw it so I can be done with it, but I really didn't think it was all that great. I don't watch movies for special effects, I like a good story. I kept thinking of other stories it reminded me of, which is any movie involving a native group being threatened by a larger group, then I'd think "This movie blows compared to that one".

2 out of 4 stars. Maybe 2.5.

SixFive/Jack: Don't waste your time. Not only is not for us, it is almost 3 hours long.
