If you see this movie on a shitty website and you're watching a CAM version - eat a dick. Go see this in the theater. See it the way a Godzilla movie is meant to be seen.
There are scenes in the movie that make you go - "Holy fuck that was awesome."
I had a preconceived notion as to what this movie would be like before I went in and those thoughts were shattered as the story unfolded. It's hard to say "realistic" when you're talking about a Godzilla movie - but they do a great job of making this seem "plausible" - at least they go through great lengths to make it seem that way.
This movie is fun.
The special effects are 9.5 out of 10
The story is 7 out of 10
The use of Godzilla is perfect - meaning he isn't on the screen too long and not too short.
This is definitely a popcorn movie - one you wouldn't buy on Blu-Ray, but you will always remember being in the theater every second Godzilla is on screen.
I would put this movie in three categories......
7 out of 10 for movies in general (Yeah, it is that good)
8 out of 10 for movies in the "Summer Blockbuster" category
10 out of 10 for Godzilla movies
