I was a QB growing up and I can still throw a ball over 40 yards but my arm and shoulder sure dont like it:scared

Are you claiming you can throw a football as far as you can drive a golfball, Gary?

....At least the football would be harder to lose.

i hit a drive 360 today

Well, saying you hit a drive 360 would be more like saying you can throw a football 80 yards, not 40, wouldn't it? :SIB

It's actually funny this topic came up. I was talking to a co-worker the other day and he said I was "full of shit" for saying I could throw a football 50 yards. So I said "No, no, I'm not saying NOW, I'm saying when I was a kid, when I played." To which he replied "doesn't matter, that's impossible. That's what the pros throw." :mj07: That's funny for 2 reasons:

1) Pro QBs can throw a helluva lot further than 50 yards, and
2) Being able to throw a football far doesn't even mean you're a good player. It just means you have a good arm.

Having said that, this is also the same guy who said he didn't believe me when I said I've made halfcourt shots, so you have to take him with a grain of salt...

People who don't believe that are ridiculous. half court shots arent that hard to be honest

Agreed. He isn't a real athletic guy, so I think he just assumes that anything that looks hard on TV is something the average Joe could never do.

I know, I said they can throw more than 50.

I was just talking about a co-worker of mine who didn't believe I could, at any point in my life, throw a football 50 yards because apparently only NFL QBs can do that. :142smilie

Oh the memories....

I admit this post by me is like stating I am Al Bundy. I am ok with that! LOL!!!

Longest drive: Par 4 415yds, I put it within an inch of the green. (There was a slight downslope, but it had to hit a rock or something!) Spent around 1o mintues looking for ball, around 70 yards back, hit provisional, walked up to green someone asked who's ball was on the green, lo and behold my tee shot!! BTW: I was so excited about the shot, I ended up with a 5, don't ask!

Used to play quite a bit of softball, and was a pitcher, 1st base when I played baseball. Always had a strong arm. When you I could throw 82-84 max. Could stand at softball park and throw with 2 steps from center field and one hop it home. (300 ft fence,)

Now, first of all I would get tired walking to center field, and with hurt shoulder (football 3rd degreee separation, never came back right) I might 5 hops it to second! I imagine if I tried to throw at a fair on the speed gun, my arm will either fall off and I become part of an attrction or I hit 25 on the gun! I play with my son, who is 7, and playing baseball, and am pretty sure he can throw harder than me!!!

Get my skirt!!!:sadwave:

That is supposed to be a photo of me. The photo is an explanation of why I am unable to throw harder than 63 even though I am 6'1''+ and 200lbs+.

BTW, it's not actually me. My hair and fingernails are painted red, not black and blue......
