I was leaning towards Michigan on this game, but after reading your post, I have to consider Illannoy.
Illinois has lost to a solid Missouri team when Juice got hurt and played terrible on the road @ Iowa last week, but they still had opportunities to win last week (ie. return for TD called back and were driving for winning score at the end of the game). I believe Illinois was looking ahead to Michigan last week. They'll be focused come Saturday night in a huge home game under the lights...nothing like a bunch of drunk college kids screaming for your club.
Michigan really beat the piss out of Purdue last week which scares me from making Illinois a solid play. I'm also not very impressed with the Illini defensively. However, I'll be on Illini +3 or ML depending on the numbers after reading your post about why to take Michigan (who cares what Michigan did in the past... I guess Nebraska, Notre Dame, Florida State, and Miami are good plays as well every week???). I want to know the status of Hart before finalizing a play on this game.

First of all good luck on your Illinois pick. Michigan is just flat out better. This is still the Big Ten Ohio State and Michigan for as long as I can remember. Illinois is a second tier team. They have not learned how to win the big game. Don't know if Michigan covers the spread but straight up they are a LOCK!
I once knew a lady that made her picks based upon which mascot would beat up the other mascot.... Maybe that's how we should all start handicapping?!!?! What exactly is the Illinois mascot again??? :shrug:

My wife picks schools based on having known someone who went there....she is currently 64% against the spread in a season long pool picking 10 games a week......Needless to say, she's in first. I should start tailing her picks.
