What is up with Boston, they suffer their 4th straight loss and the Leafs have tied them for 1st. This should be a dog fight to the end. But I see Ottawa winning the division. What are your thoughts?

Hey Cash-ola...I think the B's problem is that they are waiting for the hammer to fall on Guerin and/or Dafoe. It's becoming a huge distraction down here. I posted yesterday with Sports Junkie that the B's with Guerin most likely won't beat Philly in a series so they should trade him and get something for him. Will piss a lot of people off down here but that's just being realistic. Talk is he's gonna want LeClair type money (5 yrs/ $45 million) and anyone who even remotely follows Bruin hockey knows those absentee owners out in Buffalo will have no part of that kind of jack. Could have had him before the season for $6 mill per year but they balked at that..."Oh my God - we didn't even pay Ray Bourque that kind of money" from our "friends" in Buffalo.

You are correct. The boys in Ottawa are lurking just behind the B's & Leafs and they don't seem to fall too far back making things really interesting.

Hopefully getting Thornton back Friday night will help. Then it's looking like McLaren within the next couple weeks. Something you said yestrday made me think a little too. You mentioned that Domi wasn't playing vs. the Wings last night and I remembered that our knuckle head PJ Stock hasn't or still isn't allowed to drop the mittens. Sometimes, there's really a lot to be said when your policeman isn't around. Must be tough to be an NHL enforcer and not be able to take a shot to your mug.

As far as the division. Don't want to piss off my friends up there in Toronto but with CuJo out, I think it's gonna end up a two team race with the Sens & Bruins. I just can't say with the injuries mounting up, Schwab will keep them close enough to win the division.

First time in a couple years, I'm actually thinking about the playoffs and not looking to Colorado to win for Bourque.
