very cool! How much time each week to maintain ?

BTB...

really the hardest part is set-up...you really have to be patient and get your tank 'cycled' first....

belive me, I have learned through trial and lots of ERRORS!!

wednesday and saturdays I will add stronitum, calcium, iodine, coral vite and other supplements..

I run my temp at 77.6, and ph at 8.4..nitrate and nitrites are 0 ppm, with calcium about 450 -550..

I use micron bags to help filter water, and will clean them once a week when they clog up...

that's about it...

except for topping off water due to evaporations...

I use 3 stage ROI unit to filter the tap water...

I will add about anothe 100 lbs of live rock to fill up gaps in bck of tank...

Most of my corals and frags have come off craigslist..

People get tired of tanks or moving and I get corals and equipment .., cheap

I got both frogspawns for 15.00 .. They would be 60.00 ach in a pet store

How long did it take you to get it to that point? Very impressive.

What does "frag them off" mean?

this take has been going for about 6 months...

as corals get bigger, yoiu can cut off a fragment or 'frag' and super glue to another piece of rock or 'plug'...

you can give to friends or sell or move to another part of your tank and the frag will grow into another specimen...

i'm getting ready to get a frag of a 'miami hurricane chalice coral..it is green/orange...very hard to get, i've seen one, which was the size of an orange, except flat, go fro 3000.00...:scared

the frag i will be the size of a penny..for 80.00...
