Prestigious! Some big hitters have participated over the many years it's been run.

Since I'm not in it, it's the second most prestigious contest. The Carib contest is the Marky Marque one. Was going to have a hooker proxy for me but I couldn't work out the details like the airfare, entry money, girlfriend experience. Maybe after I win Carib I'll earn an automatic exemption into next year's Hilton. :SIB

If you win, the IRS gets their money +, right then and there. When you file your taxes and you'd better, I think you can deduct your entree fee and also get your overpay back. I think the Hilton contest started in the late 60's or early 70's

Two years ago my 5 man team won 150K. There was a 3 way tie that year for first place. Uncle Sam got paid and so did the state of Michigan, where I live. Very up and up contest.

just curious

how can you have been in the Hilton for 2 years and yet your record is only 23-11?

In my book that is only 34 picks.

Now if you are in the contest i have been in, you must make 5 picks per week.

please explain!!!

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
The Hilton contest is the granddaddy of them all, started nearly 20 years ago. $1500 buy-in meant more then, and LV Hilton was one of the top sportsbooks.

It was the only big contest for years, attracted a lot of attention. It was thus a favorite for touts to try and do well in and hope to use final standings as big part of their advertizing.

Many more contests in LV today, and Harrah's is challenging LV Hilton's with a bigger buy-in. Article here details all the LV contests and changes this year.

The hooker would have gotten the tax portion and I'd keep the rest. moon1

What name did your group play under? I have the payouts for the last few years as one of our very own "Schouest" has two different top 10 finishes.
