My breakdown...
Jordan Shipley ranks 6th in the country in receiving yards. After Jordan, no other Texas receiver ranks in the top 100. This will not cut it against this Bama defense. Regardless of how good McCoy is, if he does not have receivers open the gameplan will not work. I have a great deal of respect for Shipley but he is not the kind of receiver to dominate a defense on his own.
Texas will need to work for rushing yards as well so using the ground game to open up these receivers does not seem like likely.
