okay, cant believe i typed that and jinxed it, mostly considering this caveat: my worst handicapping in sports are Totals, esp. in college fball ...

Ill keep this short and sweet ...

Under 65.5 in Cal/Texas tech

reasoning ...

these teams have played 22 games this year; they have managed to break this Number but FOUR TIMES .... that looks like a 18-4 slate ...

Cal is #3 in nation in D and has lost all their WR firepower, i.e. Lyman and Mccarthur ...

I will prob look like an idiot here tempting the fates with an Under total, but this game looks like Cal grinding it with their superb running backs and hopefully putting up a stone wall on D

I could see this being 31-21

i wonder how Cal will handle the TTech offense. It's not something they have faced....ever? Big12 teams had the luxury of having seen this offense for a few years now and are a little more effective in stopping it. If if Cal does its homework, this isnt something they have really seen before.

I think Cal's offense is just too too explosive for Ttech to stop.
Cal can hang 40+ easily just like they did vs Stanford, Wash, Ucla, oreston, nmsu...etc.

And unless they are still pissed about being in this bowl instead of BCS, Cal WILL have something to prove here. They will want to score and score as much as possible.

the total does seem a little high. TTech isnt going to put up 70 like they did vs tcu and nebraska. but it's possible that they can put up 24-28 points today. Cal's defense is very very good, but again, just the unfamiliarity with playing such a pass happy offense might benefit the red raiders today

TT has scored 24/13/21 vs the prob the 3 best Ds they've faced ... Cal's offense is severely hampered w/o their ace WRs, which no one seems to understand (even other quality Wrs were hurt b4 the year or during other than the big 2)... Cals' D has given up less than 7 pts per game in their last 6 outings .. Like I said, I am horrible at totals, but i dont find much to support this going over

gl if anyone is fool enuff to follow me, hehe

So Cal
Cal has been making a lot of noise about proving something in this game. Based on what I have read about Cal locally, they are more than focused to win this game and they act as though they want to win it big.

sorry to anyone who mightve listened to me, Cal's defense isnt getting job done and TT no huddle doesnt help .. dont see much chance of lucking into this under .... It's half now and 28 beats the number :(

my 2 cents is to take TT in 2nd half

thanx GW for the support ...

I told my pal on 4th and 4 that leach would go deep for six, his "tells" pointed that way the entire game ... he passed silly in obvious run the clock down and end game... overall it was a horrible handicap by me other than I thought Cal would struggle to score a bit and I did say they'd get 31--but they gave up more pts in this game then they did their last 6 combined :(

again, I apologize to any I led astray and hurt $$$-wise

take care

PG......no need to apologize...........you win a lot more than you lose. With any other coach in the nation you would have won. No matter how it turned out for Leach its pretty stupid to be passing when all you have to do is run out the clock. Stupid play calling on his part.

Who could have imagine Cal's defense would perform so poorly.........what I could'nt understand is if Teford is such a great coach why not mix it up a little with more blitzes from different angles............he reminded me of a Mack Brown coached team.
