I've been leading his college bowl pool from the beginning but there's a chance that, if B.C. doesn't cover 9 1/2, that I'll finish 2nd. 1st is $1300 and 2nd is $600. I have 2nd wrapped up, worst case so I'm thinking, "I need help with a hedge and I have nobody to call.....except Brian".

I called him mid-afternoon yesterday and asked him if he could help me out. He said to wait until the Ky game ended and he would take a look at it and asked me to call him back that night. I've been sick with the creepin' crud and fell asleep and didn't get back with him. I wake up to this e-mail....


This is what I see and what I did already for you, and if you don't want it or all of it I will take it.

You can get no worse than second place or 600. The marble game is tonight and hinges on Boston College for you to win the whole thing.

Scenarios....

BC wins you win the bowl contest or 1300

Nevada wins you win 600 for second regardless of outcome in BCS Championship

That is a 700 gap. I just went into my sight now and Nevada is -8. I bought a point to -7 and played it for 390/300. So NOW>>>>>>>>>>>>

If Nevada wins by less than 7, you get 1300 minus 390 or 910. If Nevada wins by 10 or more, you get 600 for second plus 300 or 900 total. If Nevada wins by 7 right on the number you get 1300 no harm no foul, if Nevada wins by 8 or 9 you get 1300 for first and 300 bet or 1600.

IF YOU DON?T WANT THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW as I will take it all myself or if you only want some or half I will gladly do that too. Up to you, but my way you are guaranteed at least 900.

Hey bud, no problem. I figured as much as that is what I would do, guarantee myself 900 or 910 and mostly likely would put half of that at least on the game tomorrow night.

My thinking was if you didn't want it I would gladly take it. Anyway you look at it is coming out of my money collected for the bowl contest and/or my betting account. No problem.

Most of you know I run a lot of contests, NFL Survivor NCAA Bowl Contest w point spreads, NCAA Mens Brackets, multiple fantasy sports and block pools. I don't run these for tips, most likely if I do anything its take a free entry on a $20 contest when I know 200 people are getting in and it can be a pain in the arse rounding this up. My point, Nole back at you, you always give something back like a nice big bottle of Belverdere which I greatly appreciate.

Here's to hoping Nevada wins by 8 or 9 tonight for you.

No harm no foul. I know some don't agree with it, but I always buy 0-0.5-1 point on any game I bet that is or can be on or off a critical number. Buying a point to 7 in this case saved Nole, and if anyone doesnt think there was some shady shit in that game last night you might just want to re-watch it, but nonetheless he is is the winner of the bowl contest and he won the NFL weekly pickem. Jesus Nole, its time to pony up a raise for your secretary making all these picks, or at least have her draft your fantasy football team. Enough already. :facepalm:

I just had a 298. Many of you know my situation with my wife passing away to cancer a few years ago, well yesterday was her bday and like I always do I always ask for sign she is ok when I am standing over the grave. I soooo wanted this 300 tonight and it would have meant so much to me personally that I let the pitch go and it just dove leaving a 6-7 split on the last ball.

I know I am preaching to a choir, but I am so pissed at myself right not that I have to go outisde in my garage and hit my heavy bag. I wanted this more than my other 4 already. Putting this in perspective it doesnt pay my bills, but personally she knew what I was bowling and how much it meant to me. I cant believe I did what I did. Just cant.......
