You are wrong whether you admit it or not it all makes perfect sense to me.
Let me try to dumb it down for you........
Without re-reading anything I believe the story goes somewhat like this.
The Boys - On ass in office looking out window. Sees keying occurence. Bandies about looking for said culprit, finding none he gets her plate number in order to put his lawyer on the case. (Whether you believe relationship with said lawyer is of no consequence).
The Boys makes contact with lawyer who also happens to be business space landlord.............The private dick gets right on the case and contacts a slightly deranged, suspended license having, pissed off, broad who readily admits to the crime. Sensing her legal position may be less than desirable, she may be willing to pay.
Meantime, on the other side of the building, theBoys is acquiring quotes from rental companies and paint shops. Little does the villainous Audi Mauler know that TheBoys is ready to pounce.
My guess is that the steps that he is willing to go to shove this up your azz is proof enough to me. If you are willing to put your "intuition" to test, than I suggest you accept his offer. If you are not than I suggest you refuse the same. Actually, that part seems to be the clearest to me, if you are willing to call someone out, then you should be willing to call his raise.
If you can't call his raise, so to speak, because of your own bs then you should have never been in the hand in the first place. It all seems clear and quite meaningless when we get right to it.
So I am left to ponder why this means anything to anybody that they would attack him? Whoever the feckless avatar represents.

There is no way GM will let The Boys "be right" on this matter. Ever.
The Boys can meet every demand GM stipulates, but there will always be some codicil that GM comes up with......."That wasn't good enough!"
The writing is clearly on the wall on this, as has been on several other infamous Mad Jack Chest Thump Wagers of storied past!
Maybe "Boys" is looking for attention........maybe this, maybe that. I can't say. But if the guy is running around taking pictures of scratched up cars in other peoples' driveways to prove a point to someone he never met on the web?..................Okay.

Attorney talked to the keyer late yesterday. Keyer said I will have my check by next Monday at the latest. Attorney said she's pretty confident the keyer will have check. I told attorney OK I will give her until 5:00pm next Monday. If check isn't in my hand by then I will call the cops and AAA my insurance company and let then do what needs to be done. I will fax Jack a copy of the check when and if I get it. If I'm able to prove to you, the forum and Jack that all of this is true I will donate your $250 check to a worthy charity.
