Some of you know me from the NFL forum. Well, I've been keeping an eye on the NBA this year but haven't placed a bet yet... til now. To be honest I haven't had very much success betting the NBA in the past, but I want to learn and make it a solid second sport once the NFL ends. So without further ado, here is my first hoops play this year.
Wednesday: Pistons -7.
Why I like this play: Pistons are a solid 7-1 at home, while the Wizards appear to be a pretty weak road play...1-6 and they played @ home tonight & travel overnight. I am sure there are people who will like Washington because it's Stackhouse's first game back in Detroit. Well, I don't really believe in that sort of thing in the NFL, nor the NBA. I just think the Pistons have played some good opponents lately and now they get a weaker one here. I also see the line opened at -6? but is now -7? most places. I still had a -7 at one of my books so I locked it in.
Just playing half-units (in comparison to my football bets) for now. Would be very appreciative of any feedback you guys have.
