WAKE FOREST -1.5 OVER DUKE (1100/1000)

Bought this last night. Line looks to be around 2 now. I know Duke has owned Wake and if you don't think Wake has had this game circled for some time, you will be surprised.

2 teams with identical records (except home vs away) all good things must end and I think Wake will win this game. Wake is 11-0 as a favorite and Duke is 0-1 as a dog! Just my 2 cents.

I like this game a lot also. Away from Cameron, Duke is just another team.

I agree Valuist. Both teams with the same records and Wake lost it's last game (probably thinking of this one)

line is clearly shaded here because duke as a small dog will pull plenty of players. no reason wake shouldn't be laying 4- or 5 representing full home court value. actually, i think wake is a little better at this point so lets call the true line -6 (see what i'm talking about buddy). appears to be good value in the deacs.

Clearly, Duke stinks this year. It doesn't matter what Coach K does, this team just does not have a lot of talent. They are completely overrated at almost every position. If they played a real non-conference schedule with some road games, they would be ranked around #20 maybe lower. This team relies exclusively on outside jumpshots, which they are not very good at hitting.

When you say that everyone is on Wake, that is totally off base. You are only looking here, this is a smaller, and sharper sample size. Most consensus boards have a majority on Duke.

While I think Wake is the better team, and I think they should win in this spot, I am not in love with them, because I think that the way to beat Duke is with an inside game, and that is not really their biggest strength.

Good luck in whatever you play, just don't get caught up in the Coach K/Duke hype. If you think that Vegas isn't accounting for that in this line, then you have another thing coming.

Im not talking about boards where people post, that does not represent public. Public will back Duke in this spot. 50/50 at wager-line. A larger and more generic sample. This is totally different than the Buffalo/Emich game, simply because Duke is involved.

Stinks is a relative term. They don't stink compared to Penn State, but they stink compared to the team that won the championship a couple years ago and they stink compared to the team that lost to UConn in the championship game. The public still thinks of them as being the number 1 team. When WF wins, we'll hear Vitale talking about the "huge upset".

They may not be the Duke of old but they have talent...when they put it together.. Watch out!!!

I said they were overrated at every position.

Duhon is a total joke, he is not a good player, and has not played well all year.

Jones is collecting numbers by default on a team with few other options.

I will agree Reddick is a star, great shooter, but can be shut down.

Bottom line, this is a top 20 team at best. The players they brought in are not as good as they thought. Dockery, Randolph, and Williams were all overrated crap in high school. I saw Dockery play multiple times, he was not very good, Randolph dropped off his senior year, and Williams always had questionable ball skills.

The players they had, i.e. Duhon and Ewing, are showing they are not nearly as effective without their previous supporting cast.

Their inside game is laughable.

Duke is just not that great of a team. Thy played an extremely weak schedule and have not won any road games. They are living off reputation and Dick Vitale still wanting them to sound good.
