Louisville -22.5

i live in Louisville, but before you discount this as just a homer post, read on.

here is some trash talk from Kentucky's president last month

"We need to kick some Cardinals. We almost did last year. I'm getting tired of listening to them. ... Some places overmarket and underperform, and others undermarket and overperform. You can pick which you want to apply with."

Bold talk from a school who has one winning season in the SEC since 1984

Trust me, the Louisville team has taken notice of these comments.

It will fire up a team that is 10-1 ATS their last 11 home games, with an average blowout of 35+ points.

Kentucky's safeties and corners have a grand total of 3 games started between them. A team that was in the 100's in passing defense will be even worse. Two things will happen; Brian Brohm will shred that secondary, and Bush (another heisman canididate) will become even more dangerous with only 6 or 7 guys in the box. There is a plethora of ways this Louisville team will score points.

To put it simply, we kill bad teams at home, and there's no reason for it to stop now.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Good luck,

Good luck,

Looks too easy, from another site someone who follows practices closely....

"Been to most of the practices this past month and I will say only 2 things. Cards offense is the real deal, however their defense sucks. They could not stop a good high school team.

Last one to score in this game will win.

Take the +22 points."

louisville as a home favorite

10-1 ATS the last two seasons with an average score of 53-13 while laying an average of 23 ? points.

The only spread loss at home the last two years was as a 35 ? point favorite

they are 10-0 ATS laying less than that number.

Not a big push here, not at all, considering Kentucky's habit of
coughing up the football. But they are a lot healthier now than
they were at the beginning of last season, and an offense that
scored 24 against Louisville last season has a chance for decent
numbers once again as that Louisville D-line is all new, and absent
the game-changing loss leader Mr. Dumerville, now in the NFL. Road
dog, with hot-seat coaches, receive light nod to keep rivalry game
close for a long time, with respect given to Louisville's offensive
explosiveness. LOUISVILLE, 38-22.

Isnt it a bit early for a GOY?

when i see these post i use a 3 step process.

1) open up thread

2) check for join date/#of post

3)If step 2 is over a year or 750 post then i listen, if it is not I roll my eyes and chuckle to myself and look for a good reason not to play that game.

Quite the recipe for sucess:mj07:

different coach (on both sides) different players, different everything. the 2002 uk team also went on to have 7 wins, no way this year's uk team gets close to that.

I can't find any reason to lay 23 points... sure Louisville has been solid at home and they are ranked and could put up 50 points, but it's not likely in a big rivalry game. I'd say the Cards have a 30% shot at covering this number.

I guess I fall under blgstocks 3 steps, seems like a good way to weed out newbies.

I am a WV Mountaineer what a great game last year we had with Louisville. There offense is still intact. They will put up the #'s but can they stop the other team, can't say yet so my $ in on the over of 59. They could get that # themselves so any help from Kentucky makes this a high % play
IMO.

Go Big East

It's you and the public against the house. If I was going to make a big play, I would want to be on the side of the house.

id personally take the over Bert. L'ville is a machine on offense, but their D couldnt stop Louisville High School from scoring.

Serioulsy Bush would have won the Heisman. I don't know how many games Louisville will win now, but I say West Virginia is the toughest without Bush.

oh btw, on the postgame radio show, Petrino said the Uk comments (president smack talk) fired up the team.

Looks like they will be OK, They never missed a beat with the replacements. I would think there were 4 Big East guys chasing the Heisman, White, Slaton, Brohm, Bush.
I will root for the Big East unless your playing WVU
