I'm a firm believer in Chiropractic medicine, guess you aren't. I'm 68 and in tip top health, I had a cold in 2011. Been seeing my Chiro for 30 years, he's a miracle worker. I was having problems with Asthma in the 1970's, he turned me onto a colon cleanser to detoxify my colon............asthma gone. I don't have a medical doctor anymore. Let's be honest MD's give you pills to mask the problems. Where Holistic types try to solve the problem by healing it. To each his own though.

The colon cleanser is Sonne's No. 9

Good for you. Low carb is a good way to lose weight. Tough to follow for any length of time though.

The Boys, if you like the low carb diet you should check out the "Anabolic Diet." It's a low carb(30grams a day) but you get a carb up day once a week. The reason for the carb up day is that it shoots your test and growth hormone levels up. You lose fat but the increase in test is great. Not sure at your age how much it would raise but any rise in test and growth levels is good. Those rising also help with fat loss. It's a little different than just a low carb diet but it's nice when you get your free day once a week.

It's more of a body building diet but IMO it's good for everyone.

The first two Saturdays I pretty much eat anything and everything I want. After that I tend to start eating cleaner even on my carb up day just because you realize how much the bad foods make you feel horrible. Saying that, pizza is always on my list as is a ton of fruits and veggies.

IMO you'll lose just as much fat as you would with a strict no carb diet and you'll feel a lot better. You can find all of the info on the internet. Typically you start it by going 10-14 days of low carbs(30 grams) and then after that you can have the one free day. Best thing ever on a low or no carb diet, pig skins! They give you that crunch and chip like feel you just can't get with anything else.
