Angelina {Lee} D...Box.....went home to Jesus at 12.44 am on Holy Thursday. We had just moved her into hospice care that day.She refused any medication up until a few hours before she passed away. She didn't want morphine because she saw her best friend pass away last year and knew what it did to your thinking process. They gave her a few drops of morphine and she went to sleep and died peacefully a few hours later. She would of been 90 yrs old on Apr 27th.She led a beautiful life and will be missed by all of us that loved her.She drove a car up until over a month ago and could parallel park better then anyone here. She leased a brand new 2008 Toyota Corolla last year because her old car didn't have air bags.I was against the lease but was with her and the car salesman during the deal. Because of the 10 pages in the contract with all the lease information I asked the salesman" what happens if she can't pay the 3 yr lease..she gets hurt...something happens to my mom"...at that point my mother gives me a smack in the back of my head and says " what are you talking about..stop it"...I'm 57 yrsd old and getting a smack from my mother...I know that car salesman went home and told his wife I had a customer hit her son in front of me.

My mom to the very end never lost her thinking process and wit.On tuesday she was saying to herself..I'm with god as she touched her chest..she repeated it a few times...she was getting weaker at that point and had her eyes closed..I'm with god...after a few times of saying it..I responded " were all with god, mom" and her response to me was " no, I'm really with god". It was her 1st admission to us that she was leaving us...she never said anything about the tumor and the operation that she thought would take place.
She will never get to see her 1st great grandchild about to be born in June. She saw my daughter and rubbed and kissed her stomach just 3 weeks ago...strange how life works...one leaves the earth and another one enters..
While were all saddened by her passing we find it most fitting she died on Holy Thurday....as catholics growing up we were always told that if you passed away during lent you got an automatic pass to heaven....Brother Robert a Holy Cross brother and a good friend of the family said yesterday.. " box...your mother dying on Holy thurday gave her an E-Z-pass to heaven...St Peter had just opened the gate in the morning and she was in...
I have said this to many people here in forums that lost family and friends...finally I say it to myself... "a mother and father must be there to set an example for there children, strong positive role models....and being a role model is the most powerful forms of education....it is one of parents greatest responsibilties in life.." my mom had great inner strength..she was strong in her moral, principals, values and ideals and like any good mother she instilled it in me and my sister....and I instilled it in my four children who will pass it on to theres...and in June in Austin,Texas ... Molly will enter the world..and my mother will be looking down on her....
Thank you all for all the prayers and thoughts

May God Bless your Mother and your family. I'm sure from now on, Easter will have an extra special place in your family's celebration. Easter is all about Jesus sacrificing himself for us, as I'm sure your Mother made many sacrifices in her life for you and your family.

Box,

I'm very sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I pray the Lord will bless your family with the peace and comfort that He alone can provide.

1 Corinthians 15:51-57 (King James Version)

"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. Death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Box, I personally think you are one of the nicest & most genuine people around, even though I only know you from a message board.

Let us know if there is anything you need.
