...everyone who thinks the Lakers are going to steamroll the Wolves needs to slow down a bit. This Laker team is a shadow of the teams that won the championship. Shaq, while you all insist on giving him the blowjob every two seconds, has not been as dominant as he was during the previous 3-peat. He no longer is able to make his 4-5 ft jump hooks consistently. Yes, he will get his in this series, with smaller players guarding him, but he will also get fouled, because all those players suck and giving up fouls will not matter one bit.

On the flip side, I want to know who the hell on the Lakers is going to guard Garnett? He is going to go off in this series. There is no one who has a prayer of matching up with him on that roster. And don't start with Karl Malone. He will get torn up - badly.

The TV talking heads have already annointed the Lakers this championship and this series, but I have seriously seen nothing in the first two rounds that makes me think they are unbeatable. SA had them beat, but just turned belly up. THEY SHOT 22% in Game 6 in the second half and still had a chance down the stretch. They could not make wide open 10 footers. Seriously, that series was no Laker coronation.

So go ahead, put all your money on the Lakers at -315 or whatever. And then if they win, consider yourself a genius. But when they start screwing up, and you are all pissed because "Shaq is fat" or "Shaq can't make free throws" or "Malone is old" or "Payton sucks", you will be able to understand why it's so easy for Vegas to build their high rise hotels when the media plants little seeds in everyone's heads.
