gman top four in SEC played ilini, indiana, nw, purdue, mich st, minnesota every week would be 90% win ratio atleast Those six teams are as weak as or weaker than Ole miss, Kentucky, Miss St Thats only 3 SEC teams you mentioned. alittle diferent than 6 weak out of 10 3 out of 12 yep Big difference Come get some of the SEC week in and out Why do you think Florida State and Miami joined ACC instead!! Truth hurts Face it

I agree with you about SC and pac-10 but you are out of your mind if you think NW Purdue and MINNESOTA?!?! are as bad as the SEC worst.

Why not throw Arkansas in there as well? Kentucky is TERRIBLE and I think as a conference the SEC is the most overated conference by a mile.

You think Georgia, Bama, Tennessee have a chance verses Ohio St., VaTech, Miami? and those are just a few of the teams that are ranked behind some SEC overated dogs.

Give me a season since Manning that Tennessee actually deserved to be top 15 and yet they get placed in top 10 every year like clock work. And geuss what else, they dissapoint every year. I will take ACC or Big-10 over SEC this year. Auburn is your only true pure bred, and yeah bama d is stellar but possibly the worst offense in top 50 and definitely top 25.

Georgia and Bama were never ranked ahead of Miami, Ohio St., or Va Tech until after they lost. I think everybody knew that Alabama was only ranked ahead of Miami because they hadn't played LSU or Auburn, and they were undefeated and Miami had a loss.

LSU, UGA, and Auburn are all very strong teams this year and I don't think there are too many teams that want to draw them in a bowl match-up.

Alabama, South Carolina, Florida would be fantasy match-up for teams that want to bag a trophy SEC bowl win, these 3 would be their best shot. Although if Alabama gets you on the wrong side of the field, their D can give them a short field for their struggling offense.

And yes, Tennessee was way over-rated and most SEC fans knew they were going into this season.

Auburn,Lsu, and georgia can beat anybody at any time! How many teams in big ten or acc can do that? 0ne maybe out of each conference??? Big question is maybe Auburn only true pure bred?? Geez how much do you know(NOT!!) about sports??? They are playing the best I agree at the moment but LSU has more talent than anyone in the conference!! Went thru hurricanes etc and new coaching staff all this and still only lost one game. Take the hurricane away and play that tenn game on Sat night instead of Monday different story!! Va tech sux would loose 4-6 games in SEC Defenses would shut then down Ohio st would get shut down also by SEC best defenses and Miami well can you say run on all day long!! SEC best CONFERENCE top to bottom in the country and yes Arkansas would beat Minn, illini, indiana etc and arky is having the worst year they have had in along time! Yes georgia could beat the Big ten's top to bottom teams easily and USC to on any given day no doubt!! LSU and Auburn could as well BIG ten is Slow as a snail these three teams speed would kill them!!

anyways enough of that bet your big ten teams and pac-10 against the SEC'S best and see what happens but they won't pair them up might put Sec's middle to lower teams so they will stand a chance!!

Scott yes it is true that you have become the poster boy for USC
I may trade shots with you (but it is done in the spirit of the game, nothing personal, please dont take it that way)
Look the bottom line is until someone beats them you can laugh all the way to the bank...

How do you know they can beat anybody at anytime? Cause they play so many tough teams outside their conference?

I will give you LSU, they are a very good team, but if you think LSU is more talented than Auburn I am going to have to disargee

We will have to see how SEC stacks up in bowls this year. What about the #1 rushing offense in AMERICA makes you think they would lose to a team that got pouned by 176 by USC early this year. Oh i geuss its that SEC is just that good huh.

Or are you going to say Minn plays no one with defense. How about NW with one of the best offenses in football, how would they compare to exposed crimson tide

You are going to think SEC is best at everything. Scott4SC is going to think that USC and Pac-10 are the best thing to happen to football, well ever i geuss.

But as for me I at least give credit to all conferences and give respect where it is due.
To not give respect to Big10 and ACC is just not worth talking about anymore.

Thats fine. You should thank me for giving you a team to cheer against that you didn't have before! :)

3 I explained why but was poked fun at. I got the last laugh there as well plus ca$hing in on it as well.
!
Im sure hope you havent been betting in favor of SC this year. In fact they have not covered 6 of their last 8 games. And you know what else, Texas has covered 9 of their last 10.

Also dont think SEC is best at everything. Just the best football conference is all. As I said before Why do you think FSU and Miami joined ACC when they could have SEC To strong and beat each other up. Hardly no chance for National championships. Think what you want thats the bottom line!!! and thanks to all you numb nutters on here i have made alot of money over the years(would have won anyways) but makes things alot clearer by reading this bs on here!!

Maybe if you didn't wear a skirt in school and played football, you would know that it is possible to get up for any and every game. Only players with ego's that think they are better than everyone else have problems getting up for every game. So what you are saying, is that USC's locker room is filled with a bunch of ego maniacs and they play when they want too.

Stop making excuses and claiming them as FACTS!!!

WRONG! I am quoting Pete Carroll on this. He said his team cannot play at high level each and every week. You just can't do it even if you try. It has nothing to do with effort. USC gives effort each and every week. But USC opponents can reach the highest of levels against them because it is their GOY! They bring the intensity/emotion like it was a 50+ year old rivalry game. Not to mention new wrinkles in their offense and defense and throwing the book at USC. USC can't throw their best plays out because the next opponent(s) will gameplan. For most of the year, USC has been vanilla. Same with last year. I told everyone that before USC played OU and you saw USC bust out their playbook that nobody seen. Clear example of that was Matt Leinart rolling out every play. ALL YEAR USC had Leinart in the pocket. Against OU, USC had Leinart rolling out and mis direction passing routes and spreading the ball. OU was not prepared to defend that.

This year you have not seen many "pitch" plays to Reggie Bush. USC busted it out against FSU because USC almost lost and it worked like a charm. FSU was not prepared to defend that because they never saw it on film. ALL YEAR USC handed the ball off to RB's. I will predict in the Rose Bowl, you will see USC put both WHITE AND BUSH in the backfield together against Texas. USC has not done that all year but did it a lot last year with a lot of success.

Other teams clearly throw the book at USC and get on emotional high. Often teams play great football against USC. CAL and WSU are the only 2 teams I think had bad days against USC. This is why teams do not win 3 NC's in a row. You have huge bullseye on your chest and every team you face treats it like a BCS NC game. If they win, they go down in the history books of taking down USC. This is not just my opinion but the HC of USC as well.

I think it is common sense. All throughout the NFL and CFB you see teams come out flat all the time. USC IMO has not come out flat all year (props to Carroll) but USC cannot always match the intensity level of their opponent. In CFB nowadays there is much more parity on a talent standpoint than in the past.

In my mind, if a team has a ?Top 5 defense every single year for the last four years?, they are great. Have you changed your mind after watching Fresno march up and down the field against them?

I still stand by that. If USC played in the Big 10, SEC or Big 12, they would be considered having a great defense. Tell me the great offenses in the SEC, Big 10, and SEC? Then factor in the OOC teams that are played. I can show you what elite D's in those conf. have done against a great passing attack. All will be support in MY ARGUMENT!!

I said USC will have a great D on Jan. 4th. Never did I say USC has a great D now or at any pt in this season. I stated the reasons for that and I explained why on jan. 4th you will see a different D from USC. Most of it is OBVIOUS that anybody could see. There will be players starting and playing on USC D on Jan. 4th that NEVER saw the field against Fresno St. and/or saw limited action against FSU. This is a fact. So it is true USC will have a different D on Jan. 4th vs the one they are putting out now.

I also proven that USC D in the last 3 years has given up HUGE STAT GAMES in November prior to their BCS BOWL GAME. Just like this year. And each year USC D dominated their BCS bowl opponent. Another fact that supports my opinion. BTW, each of those years posters at this site and the media in general pointed to those games and said that is why USC will lose their BCS bowl game. They gave this much yards to this team what are they going to do in their BCS bowl game? WEAK PAC 10, SOFT D, HORRIBLE D, every year the same $hit. Every year I am proven right and every year most are proven wrong. I guess one year USC eventually will lose so if you keep doubting them, you will eventually be right. :)

USC playing Fresno St. just increased their probability of beating Texas. USC beating CITADEL by 50 does nothing but boost confidence. USC gets it, the rest of the country doesn't. What team is on top?

I have not placed a large wager on USC in the last 2 years during the regular season. In fact, I stated prior to the season that it might be real profitable to bet against USC every game this year.

Also, your boy Cowherd just said, if BUSH didn't play on Sat., USC gets throttled.

USC most likely would have lost to Fresno St. without Reggie Bush. You can't say they would have because the gameplan was designed for Reggie Bush. USC opened the game throwing everydown and should have scored if Dwane Jarret didn't drop TD pass. But anways, the gameplan was to throw throw throw and then use Bush on the outside. Worked like a charm prob. the biggest reason is USC has not run Bush to outside much at all this year. FSU was not expecting it and FSU is one of the best coached teams in the country. Pat Hill adjusted very very very well against Pete Carroll D in the 2h. Not many if any make adjustments in the 2h during the game against Carroll. Hill did. USC dominated defensively early 3q but Hill adjusted and worked great.

USC might have lost a bunch games with no Bush, or no leinart, or no white, or no Jarret etc etc etc. USC is a team of superstars and they all pick each other up. All of carried USC on their back and won games by themselves. Especially when a D is designed to stop one.

Don't be surprised if USC TE Byrd is the person who wins the big game against UCLA or Texas. He has not been used a whole lot this year (#'s are way down from last year) and he has NFL 1st round talent. But against Texas, I might predict USC's FB's to be the key. :scared I am only 24 but I never seen a team in CFB use their FB's in the passing game as much as USC. USC has thrown 20+ yard bombs to the FB's. Texas might be surprised that USC uses their FB's in their sophisticated balanced passing attack. USC has not used their FB's much the last few games. I wonder why........... :)

ohio state has a better defense right now as i type this.

I agree

and ohio state will have a better defense on january 4th.

I don't know about that. But after FSU game, I tend to side with OSU having the better D. But I def. can't say 100% they have the better D than USC on Jan. 4th.

i generally agree with your argument about the sec because teams like kentucky, ole miss, and miss state are an embarrassment right now.

Good. I like the SEC and am a fan of the conf. But fans like to look at the SEC as a superior conf. but they don't realize there is no argument to support that.

usc's linebackers are athletic but they arent on the hawk-carpenter level in terms of football instincts.

Experience I agree OSU LB's have advantage. HUGE ADVANTAGE.

btw- have you seen a total on texas/usc? you think it will be more than 60?

I have not seen a total but my guess is it will be 57. I posted last year don't be surprised if USC D dominates OU offense. I was laughed at. I'll say it again this year. Don't be surprised if USC D dominates Texas O. All in all, I think there is a lot of logical sense to expect this game to be high scoring.

I am looking forward to watching Texas these next 2 Saturdays.
