Scott,

What are you hearing about Reggie Bush? Is he 100%? Is he playing?

Reggie Bush suffered a bruised knee. They did every medical test there is on him and nothing bad happened to Bush. All he needs was a couple days rest. He say out Mon. practice and he practiced yesterday for 1st half and was held out of contact drills in 2h just to rest him. He will def. play and should play well. I don't think this holds him back. If he injures his knee during the ND game, remember, USC has Lendale White and that is not a good thing for ND. White is better than Bush.

Remember I said watch out for USC TE Dom. Byrd. USC will be using him to go over the middle of the field against ND. Yesterday @pracice he caught a 1 handed pass down the middle of field. For the last 2 weeks Byrd has caught twice as many passes. This guy has 1st round NFL TE talent. Only thing holding him back is USC. Byrd will have huge day on Sat. USC been saving him for ND. He has not been utilized all year. Weis will have no answer.

I also have a feeling USC will line up BOTH Bush and White in backfield and Bush runs over to WR. Something USC did often last year but not as much this year.

Reports are Carroll is real excited to go up against Weis and his O. I think this is what he has missed in the NFL. A true challenge to match wits. Weis awesome OC and Carroll awesome DC. USC should throw the book against ND and Carroll wants to send a statement to ND and Weis. If USC beats ND badly this year, USC will have next years game won before it is even played. ND players are very confident they not only can compete but beat USC. Mainly because of Weis. What is going to happen if USC beats the $hit out of them? That is exactly what USC plans on doing in South Bend on Sat.

"Film games: Because Notre Dame did not play last weekend, the Irish did not want to give USC a copy of their fifth game against Purdue until the Trojans played Arizona in their fifth game.

But that didn't stop USC from getting a look at the Irish's fifth game. They got a copy of the game from Purdue."

It appears USC might have been doing a little prep work during thr Arizona game week! ;)

USC closed their practice. I think USC plans on running the wishbone! ;)

USC starting DT Ramsey (who has missed the last 2 games) will be back for ND and maybe even start! He could have played against Arizona but was held out so he can be close to 100% for the Irish.

I also been told that Leinart worked over an hour after practice on passing and he has looked sharper than ever. Against ASU he suffered a minor concussion and against Arizona he had trouble thinking fast and making reads. But he is 100% ready for ND and put in the extra time. USC is taking ND very seriously and will be prepared! Actions speak louder than words!

Scott, I see SC rolloing ND. Who has ND beat?????? Thats all I need. They have not seen anything close to what SC will bring to the table. I thought we had you and then things changed quick. SC will show up for the first snap this game, no more screwing around. This spread should be 15-20 points. ND is extremely overrated. Purdue- HORRIBLE, PITT- MISERABLE, Washington- dido, loss at home to Mich St. SC ROLLS!!!!!!!!!

SC -11 Huge play

I agree with you that USC wins by double digits. I am not real confident in it happening so I am not betting the game. Plus I am riding my USC futures wager so I am happy with a 1pt win! :)

However, I am not going to rag on ND's opponents.

#1 ND played many of these teams on the road. That is extremely difficult, no matter who the competition is. I rather play a great team at home vs a good team on the road.

#2 Mich St, Michigan and Purdue are all rivalry type games for the Irish. 2/3 were on the road. Very tough on ND!

#3 Michigan is a 3 loss team but we all know they have talent. I'd say that they are probably the most talented three loss team in the country right now.

I think ND could have been very easily 5-0 coming into this game. Sagarin ranks ND schedule #25 in the country. That is not an easy schedule. So I don't think it is right to put down anything ND has accomplished this season. They are playing better football then I've seen in a number of years. I would be a lot more confident and prob. laying some big coin if TY was coaching ND instead of Weis.

I am looking forward to this game and the test it will provide for USC. USC was tested @Oregon and then the following week @ASU. ND is on par with both of those teams, prob. a little better. Def. better coached. @South Bend is not as hostile as Autzen but def. has more mystique! Hopefully everything goes well and I enjoy a USC victory!

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to strongly disagree with that Lendale White is better then Reggie Bush and so would about 32 other NFL teams...if Reggie declares for the Draft after this season he's a lock to be a Top 5 pick overall in the Draft...as for White...he has an excellent chance to be taken in the first round of the Draft but is far from being a Top 5 pick overall like Reggie Bush is...Bush is one of those rare players that carries a "potential difference maker" label on his back.

The country thinks Lendale White is good/great/solid back etc but they have no idea how great this kid really is. He would average over 175 yards a game if he was the featured back. When guys go to tackle this 240 pound kid they cough up blood. NOT JOKING! He is a beast. He has great speed/balance for his size. But what he is great at is reading zone blocking and hitting the hole fast. This is Lendale Whites 3rd year at USC. Everytime USC is at the goaline or has 3rd and 1, 3rd and 2, Lendale 95% gets in. Unbelievable. After 2 years at USC (frosh/Soph) I think he had the most TD's ever as a Trojan. Nobody can stop him and every week I am pissed at the USC coaching staff for not featuring him more. He is an NFL POWER RB who is playing CFB. Take Jamal Lewis, Bettis (prime) etc and put them on USC team. That is Lendale White. If Bush never came to USC, White might have gone down as one of if not the greatest USC RB EVER! Not joking.

NOBODY can tackle White without taking a pounding. It softens up the D very fast. But what USC does is put Bush in after White and Bush runs around these wounded D players.

Without looking up the stats, I think White is averaging close to 8 yards per carry. Something crazy like that.

Against OU last year in Orange Bowl Reggie Bush could barely get 1 yard every rushing attempt. USC O was looking very 1 dimensional. Then comes in Lendale White (who is not 100% with bad ankle) and White rushes for 5-10 yards a pop and changes the game completely. OU could stop Bush but had no answer for White. Even though USC blew out OU, if Lendale White didn't play injured, I am not 100% positive USC beats OU by 1pt or more.

The guy is a stud, and reports are he is 99% sure of going to NFL early! :(

Well I am off to LAX! :em71:

alright, this thread has been very informative... scott, you bring a wealth of "insider" USC data and relevant stats. now, the "people/public" betting of ND... cmon ya'll!!! what tracking sites are you on... this side number is solid isnt moving much at all... the talk here is like citation is running against $5k claimers. gimme a break. not sold on ND? great... im not sold on needing a 2nd satellite dish to pick up 5 more HD chanels. whocares.com. your sold on how USC came out of the gates, on the road against they're last two opponents though, right? your sold on how and ASU, and moreover, an AU team were hanging in against this "NFL" team, correct? now, dont tell me the final score is all that matters to you SC backers... you should be dominating all aspects of the game, all game. so im reading...

if SC was playing some possum against ASU and AU, well, thats another thing... but, in the minds of kids... if they think they just walk into ND. i dont think that would be the mindset but, my point is that SC is going to need 4 quarters...

just saw a great prop (with no bias towards how i make money but, cannot bet against ND in any aspect of this game).

if bush is healthy...

bush -16.5 yards vs. walker. if you SC guys cant make a case for that....

side note, if you can find odds on it, i tend to believe mclaren will win the constructors title in china this weekend. also, with either kimi or juan pablo winning, i would gather the winning margin is over 7.5 seconds (at thegreek.com). juan pablo, top 3 at -200. small wager of juan pablo to win at 4/1. he wins if kimi lets him, doesnt wreck, or mechanical failure (all at thegreek.com).

Nice thread fellas keep it going!!!!

But please get off ND's schedule.........they play the one of, if not the hardest schedules in college football. They don't get cupcake conference games like rutgers, kansas, ole miss, etc. you get the drift...............

I see a shootout this weekend though............USC will get their points no doubt but ND can score..............lookin at a 45-38 usc win :scared
