They had a great season but, isn't it kind of embarrassing that the only play they run inside the ten is a QB draw and they are the first team I have ever seen, in thirty years, to take a knee and then have to punt leaving over 30 seconds on the clock.

Now I know why oddsmakers made them +10 versus Alabama.

On the other hand, they are 12-0. People thought it would be a tough schedule, it wasn't but, you still have to give them credit.

I guess there is something to be said for a coach who is afraid to let his players play but, the name of the game is winning.

If the goal was entertainment, how about Oregon vs A&M in the title game? We will get Bama and ND in a remake of the Bama/LSU game. That will be satisfying to purists and fans of those two teams but, for others, I guess we pick our spots in the other bowl games again.

After today's results, maybe beating Pitt was a bigger deal than we thought although Mush-berger saying that "ND pulled away from Navy at the end of the game" was overstating more than a bit.

The selling of ND as a championship team started weeks ago and now ESPN has to pick that up with hype regarding the ND defense and Tao...both worthwhile but, not worth the level of "amazing" that Herbstreet uttered when Tao picked off a pass.

Be it shaking Matt Barkley's hand or emitting a primal scream at the end of the game the guy does know when the camera is on him doesn't he?
