Once again thanks for the advice Don as it makes mucho sense. Taking the Redskins though after an Eagle byeweek may not be the right spot here although you do have the Andy Reid factor which may get you the cover. Not the win but the cover which is all you can ask for. I think Joe Public will be on your side in this game which you cant be happy about. I know you dont worry about where Joe Straight is but it probably would be better to be on the other side of him. Any other games that are wetting your whistle with the pts?

GMROZ22, always glad to see you on my thread :toast: :toast: I know when you post its nothing but positive energy ! Those others that are featured as the Rolling Stones are uncover touts trying to cultivate the cilent base. In the last few days Ive had others hitting some my threads attempting to discredit my records in football...........and use smear tactics because Im all over this site living large. GMROZ22, Im all about the love. Every now and then they bait me in with the hatred, but I try to refrain from it.............depends if Im sober or not. Im a happy drunk, Ive been working on my boat all day doing shots of JIMADORA.......I got my heart right. Remember, they plays I post in football are what my database calls for........went 6-2 ATS in college and 5-0 ATS in the NFL this past weekend.........the records you see for me in football are final........Im focusing only hoops from here on out.

thanks Don As I said before its very interesting stuff and as a somewhat beginner to gambling it is very eye opening. I checked out the board and for some reason I am liking the titans and the 7 pts. The ravens are good but they cant keep up the emotion week after week. Can they?

your wrong about one thing. The eagles wouldn't be better if Garcia came in because Andy Reid will do what he did last year and take out starters to make the quarterback look terrible so everyone thinks Mcnab is the savior and he is a genuis. He did this last year to Mcmahon and that poor kid was running for his life. Now back a few years ago this did happen and an average quarterback named AJ feely stepped in and went 5-1 and should have went 6-0 but the kicker choked. Andy learned from this. This is a coach who succesfully has had 7 bad drafts and is also way way overrated. I disagree with everything Rush Limbaugh says except what he said about Mcnab which i said five years before him. The defense has carried him his entire career except the TO year and everyone in his conference was terrible to average at best. To me if you bet this game id take Wash straight up or the Eagles to cover. Usually the NFL likes to get everyone close in records to keep the fans interested in almost every city. Just like Baseball.

BAD DRAFTS??
MCnabb
westbrook
Sheppard
brown
trotter
lewis
andrews

these are all pro bowlers drafted by reid

look for t.cole, r.brown and lj smith to be in honolulu in the near future

if mcnabb sucks so bad doesnt that make reid an even better coach since aj feely went 5-1??

SPONGE, CHILL, III leave that one for you two to debate...................dont think McNabb is terrible, its just the media wants to include a black QBs name among the elite in the league because its been predomantly held by whitemen and just isnt so. Its just more far-left, San Fran-values media generated bull^^^t.

Okay bud first off Trotter is a ray rhoades pick so your wrong there. westbrooke a good pick was right in his back yard. shepaprd an okay pick. Brown is average at best and this year stinks. Lewis has stunk this year. Andrews the jury is still out. Mcnab? If he was drafted by Cleveland or Cincy he would be out of the league now just like Achilles Smith and Tim Couch. They had no defense to carry them but Mcnab had the best defense in the league. You list seven guys and one is wrong so six in seven years? Go to Pittsburgh and you get seven a year. He can't draft and when he plays a team with actually talent he usually loses.

no bud what the eagles have been famous for was a super defense which bailed out the offense time and time again. As for Mcnab im not saying he sucks and i actually think he has improved this year. He is such an average quarterback and nothing more. The defense because of bad drafts is now starting to be average. This will be Mcnabs downfall because he cannot carry a team. Your buying into the press and their forcing you to love him. The other day they asked the guys on fox who they would take in a 1 sudden death game and they all said Mcnab. I almost threw up but then Jimmy Johnson stepped in and said Brady. these guys should have been thrown right off the set to think that Brady and Manning should be the second and third choice.

allright guy
strike trotter but add Corey simon
reid also drafted D. Burgess who led in sacks last year

he drafted R. Brock, J. welborne, D. Brezinski, who were not good enough to stick with the eagles but started for other teams.

Reid got a 2nd rd pick from Miami for AJ Feely
now he has feely back

This doesnt make sense maybe you can explain it better to me. Mcnabb is average & Reid is overrated. Yet the eagles have the number one offense in the league. I guess it must be their outstanding receivers and dominating run game.
NO..... Its either Mcnabb or superior play calling to get people in the right spots. They havent played anyone good you might say?? This is the NFL. Chicago has the best Defense so you have to say the same about them.

I'm almost sure that cowher is the only coach with more drafted pro bowlers since reid has been eagles head coach. Who else averages a pro bowl pick a year??

This team may have missed its window for a super bowl, but because of the great front office it will compete in the division for years to come. Last year was an abberation due to Owens but most importantly losing Mcnabb and westbrook along with a host of other players sent the season into a downward spiral.

look dude if your talking about players who are all pro 5 or seven times i will give it to you. Your talking about guys who were all pro once in there life. Lito and Brown were all pro when Philly defense was great and i mean great with a great push and blitzes where these two didn't have to cover for that long. Now that they actually have to cover someone they are showing their true colors. Lito i will give you but brown stinks and he got that one probowl because what i stated and the nfc stunk. Go look at what Mcnab has done in every big game he ever played in. If it wasnt for Michael Vicks total meltdown they don't even go to the superbowl. Mcnab thru a ball that should have been picked and ran all the way back but the guy dropped it. The other year Brett Fauve threw up a pop up to Dawkins to give them another chance and if it wasn't for a great catch by Freedie Mitchell on a fourth and 26 they wouldn't have gone anywhere that year either. You really need to watch the games a little closer.

Great front office LMFAO. Dude they are done if they don't do it this year. there are actually coaches in this division now. One famous quote that sums up Andy Reid was from Bellicheck. In the superbowl when Reid was showing once again his awful time management problems Bellicheck turned to one of his copaches and asked him if they were losing. He was so stunned at what he was watching, the complete cluelessness from reid that he had to take a double take at the scoreboard. Oh and i forgot Mcnab had another great game in the superbowl. Just awful. He is not a big time player and if he was in the AFC with the Eagles they would have never made the playoffs.

Agree with the sponge. Mcnabb has won alot of games in his tenure when he played horribly but the defense was allowing very few points and allowed for the win. The NFC and especially the east were horrible during the Eagles run and you have to be kidding calling all those players probowlers? WHO CARES? Michael Vick is a multiple probowler and he absolutely sucks so what does that tell ya. Corey Simon? Hello?
Andy has drafted awfully especially on the defensive side of the ball. Whos the last decent reciever he has picked in his eight year tenure? NOONE get a clue

EXCUSES every year from the Eagles faithful. Its getting almost humorous after 8 seasons of excuse after excuse. Mcnabb is horrible against good teams. Look it up

If Vinatieri didnt make those field goals the Patrots wouldnt have won any superbowls. Tuck Rule
..Earnest Byner Fumble....Music city miracle...Big ben's game saving tackle....holy roller...immaculate reception....blah blah blah.
I got one for you how about if Jim Johnson decided to Blitz Tampa bay more instead of leaving Barry gardner in Man to man coverage on Jerevicius on 3rd and long, then the eagles would have gone to the super bowl that year.

Or if mcnabb doesnt throw an interception in the red zone intended for a wide opeen westbrook the eagles win that super bowl.

How bout this year, penalty against the giants, 12 men on defense against the saints, 62 yard FG by Bucs.

Every game has one or two plays one can point to thAT changed the game. I'm not making any excuses as to why they lost, how can you make excuses as to why they won???

I never said Mcnabb was the best QB. Id take brady or peyton over him for sure , but after that he is arguably as good as any.

As for reid he led the eagles to 4 straight championship games, he must be doing someting right. Name another coach who has done the same.

i think you mean jim Johnson led them to all those wins don't you? I always love when i hear this same thing about Mcnab. Its almost as laughable as saying that trent Dilfered led the Ravens to the superbowl.

Thanks for all the great insight you provide Don. I see myself in you. Im from the N.O. and have been doing this for about 13 years myself and I'm 33 now. I work to save money to bet on football and basketball. Still trying to hit it big. I'm so close every week it kills me. Call me crazy but I'm going pretty much going all in on the Bengals this week. I've had some tough losses the past few weeks with them. I really think this is they're week, after this I can lower my wagers and grind it out again.
